Smart bumper performer has his sights lowered having contested two stronger maiden hurdles than this, and the reapplication of the hood looks a positive having been too free at Navan last time. Very much the one to beat.
Third behind now useful pair on hurdles bow and following a spin in bumper after a long absence, ran to a similar level as on debut when fourth in 16-runner novice at Punchestown last month. That wasn't a deep race but he can improve for the step back up in trip.
Showed ability on bumper/hurdle debut and again when well held in second in a course maiden latest, and with the third having franked the form since, he's entitled to improve.
Yet to hint at ability.
Well beaten fourth behind Colcannon (front three all won next time out) when last seen in October 2024. Switches back to hurdles following 16 months off and reasonable to think that connections will have an eye on the future.
Court Cave gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fair chase winner (stayed 3m) Irish Octave. Likely to need more time/distance.
Hasn't shown anything in 2 starts.
Fairly useful handicapper on Flat (stays 12.5f) but lost his form for James Ferguson at end of last year and market may prove best guide now sent hurdling by new yard.
Swerved and unseated at long odds when making hurdle debut 6 days ago.
Wide-margin winner sole start in points and travelled smoothly/shaped promisingly when third (front 2 winners over hurdles since) in fairly useful Navan bumper in January 2025. Interesting hurdling debutant but does have a 13-month absence to overcome.
Placed all 3 starts in points, again runner-up last time (Feb 22). Wears first-time hood for hurdles debut and may want even further than this.
Well held third on bumper/hurdle debut and looks a handicap project, for all this longer trip is in his favour.
Modest in bumpers and no threat on hurdles bow at Thurles last time.
Swerved and unseated second when 100/1 shot on debut 8 days ago.

Forecasts
Sine Qua Non (11/8), Colcannon (13/8), Healys Pub (4/1), Doctor Elvis (9/2), The Rebel Fox (33/1), Papagei (80/1), Tradonthebay (80/1), Knowing Me (125/1), Lakewood Rose (150/1), Leo Messy (150/1), Ur My Fav (200/1), Salvador Peps (200/1), Native Policy (250/1), Jetstream Jeff (250/1)
COLCANNON still looks the one to beat on bumper form and he can make it third time lucky over hurdles. Doctor Elvis could improve for the step back up in trip, while it'll be interesting if there's market confidence behind the returning Sine Qua Non.
