Won 2m Newbury handicap chase last winter. Just as good when runner-up at Chepstow (19.5f) and back at Newbury (2m) on his final 2 outings of last season but well held over both sets of obstacles this winter. Yard still not firing on all cylinders but cheekpieces go on for first time.
Point/maiden hurdle winner who made an inauspicious start to chase career on return at Sandown in December, struggling a long way out. Fared no better back over timber a month later so lots to prove at present with cheekpieces reached for.
Won 3 on the bounce over hurdles last season. Stepped up on chase bow/return when third at Wetherby in December and while he got no further than the second at Warwick later that month, he remains with potential in this sphere after a break.
Landed a double at Stratford (27.5f) in May but form since has a rather patchy look to it, third at Exeter before a heavy defeat at Kempton in November. Subsequent break may have freshened him up.
Landed the odds in a maiden hurdle at Exeter in November 2024 but rather expensive to follow since in small-field contests, racing lazily in the mud back at that venue in December.
Took really well to fences in 2024, winning 3 times but well beaten in 3 outings this winter after a 15-month absence. In top hands but hard to support with confidence until showing more.
Made a winning return at Fontwell in October 2023 and followed up at Hereford (25.2f) the following month. Clearly had an issue given 2-year absence after and he pulled up with cheekpieces on at Exeter in November. Given time to get over that.
Didn't see out the race on his debut over fences on return at Catterick in December but stepped up markedly on that when off the mark at Taunton (23f) in January. Held back by a couple of errors when second back at that C&D 3 weeks ago but it was another sound effort. Looks the one to beat.

Forecasts
Bataillon (6/4), Gyenyame (4/1), Kilbarry Hill (9/2), Stans The Man (17/2), The Famous Five (9/1), Ignore The Door (10/1), Tommy The Tank (14/1), Hipop Des Ongrais (14/1), Get Up Mush (18/1)
Unlike most of these, BATALLION has a pretty positive profile so he rates the percentage call at the foot of the weights. A 3-month break should have freshened Stans The Man up so he's a threat, while Ignore The Door is likely to go on progressing over fences as his stamina is drawn out.
