Made a perfect start to the season when making all at Fontwell in October and over C&D following month. Unseated rider 7th in 2m4f Cheltenham handicap on New Year's Day and remains one to be interested in after a break.

Grade 2 novice chase winner in 2023/24. Lightly raced since but largely in good form for Tom Lacey and he made an excellent start for his new handler when third of 6 in Betfair Ascot Chase 14 days ago. Weighted to go well back in handicap company.

Likeable sort who gained a deserved success (after back-to-back second placings in valuable events at Cheltenham) in 2m5f Ascot handicap last month. Ought to be in the shake-up nudged up 2 lb.

A 3-time C&D winner, including in this in 2024. Fell both starts before well held in the face of a stiff task in Betfair Ascot Chase at Ascot last time but still can't be totally dismissed back here.

Returned in top form when scoring over 2m here in November and not discredited when fifth of 8 in 2m4f handicap chase at Musselburgh four weeks ago. Possibilities.

Multiple hurdles winner who also scored over fences (around 2m4f) at Newbury and Doncaster in November. Posted a good second of 7 in 2m4f Newcastle handicap a week ago and can make his presence felt off an unchanged mark.

Glengoulyt,p58
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-11| J: Caoilin Quinn| T: Faye Bramley| OR:  131| D
A useful chaser for Willie Mullins in 2024/25 and back to near that level when causing a surprise from 7 lb out of the handicap in December Gold Cup at Cheltenham. Possibly found the run coming too quickly when pulled up there 3 weeks later so needs considering after a break.

Veteran nowadays but he's enjoying a very good season, scoring at Cheltenham and Sandown beford posting a solid third of 11 in 2m4f Cheltenham handicap last month. In the mix once more.

Fairly useful winning 2m hurdler but he's proved hit and miss over fences this season, well held when falling 3 out in 2m3f Wetherby handicap last month. Not ruled out though if back on his A-game.

Quick to make his mark sent chasing when going in (over 2m) at Windsor and Haydock in January. Not disgraced in his hat-trick bid when third of 5 in 2m Musselburgh handicap 27 days ago and can't be dismissed back up in trip.

Forecasts

Vincenzo (5/2), Twinjets (7/2), Blow Your Wad (13/2), Issam (15/2), Heltenham (10/1), Pleasington (12/1), Josh The Boss (14/1), Triple Trade (14/1), Koukeo (14/1), Glengouly (16/1), Teddy Blue (20/1)

Verdict

ISSAM really caught the eye when sprinting clear from the last for an easy success at Kempton and Tom Symonds' upwardly-mobile chaser can defy a 7 lb weights hike to gain his biggest prize yet. C&D scorer Twinjets could emerge as the main danger with Blow Your Wad another well in the mix after an excellent Ascot third on his first run for Gary & Josh Moore. Josh The Boss, Vincenzo and Glengouly are others who can have a say in this cracking handicap.
