Hasn't looked back since sent chasing and he completed a hat-trick in 2m4f Ludlow handicap 24 days ago, overcoming an error 2 out to score cosily. Another bold showing is anticipated from this likeable sort despite having a career-high mark to overcome.

Free-going sort who made a successful start to his chasing career at Chepstow in November. Well below that level both runs since though, coming in a well-held third of 5 back there last month. Has a bit to prove now.

Failed to win over hurdles but looked good when winning first 2 chase starts (over 2m4f) at Hereford and Lingfield in November. Not at all discredited on his first go over 3m when third of 6 at Doncaster last month, fading late, and he can go well back in trip off a 2 lb lower mark.

Dual 2m4f hurdles winner who has advanced his form over fences, scoring at Sedgefield on Boxing Day and backing it up with a very good third of 9 in 2m4f Cheltenham handicap 35 days ago. That form has been franked so he's well in the mix.

Got off the mark in 2m handicap hurdle here but off since posting a good second in novice at Fontwell (21.8f) later last March. This is no easy introduction to chasing after an absence.

Ex-French hurdles winner who got off the mark for his current yard over fences at Hereford in January. Running well (looked set for second) when falling 3 out in 2m Leicester handicap 16 days ago so can't be discounted off the same mark.

Point/hurdles winner who arrives in good nick in this sphere, third of 8 in 2m4f handicap chase at Haydock last month. Since had a wind op (also tongue tied) and ought to be in the shake-up in his bid for a breakthrough chase success.

A fairly useful but very lightly-raced winner over hurdles. Returned from 9 months off with with an encouraging eighth of 10 in handicap at Exeter (19.2f, soft) on his debut over fences in November. Back from another break now (also had wind surgery) and he's no forlorn hope.

A case can be made for lots of these but RODNEY arrives firmly on the up and did well to land a hat-trick at Ludlow having lost valuable momentum with a late error so looks very much the way to go. Noble Park should find this return to a shorther trip very much to his benefit and rates the chief threat, although Southoftheborder, Scorsese and Mon Champion all need factoring into this, too.
