Hitched^h¹⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 9-9| J: L Morris| T: D M Simcock| OR: 80| D

10/1

Free-going sort who often gives his running (winning handicap at Wolverhampton at the end of January) but does have a bit to find on these terms.

Form: 72-2515

Good Banter²²

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: George Wood| T: J Candlish| OR: 77

16/1

Won a similar event at Wolverhampton in September and decent efforts in defeat since. However, this is a strong race of its type and he's likely to struggle.

Form: 50133-5

(3)

Zoffandia^t,v⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 9-7| J: Ashley Lewis⁽⁵⁾| T: Kieran Burke| OR: 80| D

4/7

Quirky individual but seems a more reliable proposition on AW and was impressive when winning Kempton handicap under this rider on return last week having been strong in the betting. Can make presence felt if he's in the same form.

Form: 05603-1

(6)

City Of God^p1²⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: S H James| T: K R Burke| OR: 78| BF| D

9/2

Won maiden at Southwell before runner-up in 2 AW handicaps this time last year. Struggled when switched to turf in the summer but showed enough to suggest he retains ability after 8 months off at Wolverhampton 4 weeks ago, caught wide and racing freely. Needs considering with headgear applied.

Form: 12278-8

(1)

Epictetus^b¹⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 9-4| J: Jason Watson| T: J A Osborne| OR: 81| D

6/1

On a long losing run but was a close third of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton last month. Not in same form over 10f at Lingfield since but has never really convinced over that far. Likely to go well down in class/trip.

Forecasts

Zoffandia (4/7), Cristo (11/4), City Of God (9/2), Epictetus (6/1), Hitched (10/1), Good Banter (16/1)

CITY OF GOD has evidently had his problems but he did enough to suggest he retains his ability at Wolverhampton last month so shades the vote over Epictetus, who is also favoured by these terms. Zoffandia landed a gamble at Kempton last week and would be a big threat if able to back that up.
