Cheltenham Preview 5th March At Wincanton Handicap Chase

Dual hurdles winner who got off the mark over fences at Plumpton last spring, albeit in a weak 3-runner affair. Sharper for a comeback run when second in handicap hurdle at Ludlow and was in the process of running well back over fences when unseating 5 out there 6 weeks ago.

C&D winner who found class 3 too competitive last time. In decent form prior to that and worth considering down in class.

Found improvement when making a winning handicap hurdle debut at Taunton off a similar mark last spring. Struggled first 2 starts this season but showed a bit more when fourth back at Taunton latest. Makes chase debut (maiden Irish pointer).

Stopped the slide off a career-low mark when second at Fontwell, though recent evidence suggests he's far from certain to back that up.

C&D winner who also struck at Taunton in November 2024 after 6 months off but not seen since running poorly here 11 months ago.

Modest winning hurdler whose record over fences last season was patchy. Faced a stiff task on return but no excuses at Exeter since. Tongue strap back on.

Made the frame all 4 starts last season but has struggled all 3 starts this term after 11 months off.

Modest winning hurdler in 2022. Failed to scale similar heights switched to fences following a lengthy absence last season but bettered his reappearance efforts when second at Lingfield. However, struggled on easier ground there next time and going a concern again.

Little solid form over hurdles or fences. 9 lb out of the handicap.
