Two most recent wins have come over C&D, latest in 6-runner handicap on Tuesday when seeing his race out well despite reverting to being rather keen. Can still be competitive off this mark has 5 lb penalty/wide draw to contend with.

C&D winner in December but hit-and-miss since, easy to back when well held at Southwell at the end of last month. Only 1 lb above his latest winning mark however and would be in the mix on a going day.

In good form since breathing operation, winning over this trip at Southwell prior to splitting a pair of subsequent winners when second over C&D last time. Remains on a handy enough mark, though his head carriage does give pause for thought.

Has a good record here and now 3 lb below her latest winning mark following a couple of spins over inadequate 5f at Lingfield. Better expected dropped in class with headgear refitted.

Long standing maiden went as close as she has over 7f here on penultimate start but only beat 2 home over this trip at Chelmsford on Saturday. Has run well the last twice she's been turned out quickly, though.

Fairly useful at best but tumbled down the weights for Tim Easterby and took a big step back in the right direction when runner-up over 5f here stable debut in September. Can go well fresh and looks interesting on second start for capable yard.

Landed first leg of a double at this course last April but has blown hot and cold since, for all he probably needed the run when fifth of 8 over C&D in October. Hardly a positive that he's been off since.

Thriving mare who made it four wins in 5 starts (her third course win) when decisive winner of a classified stakes over 5f here at the end of January. More needed to land a hat-trick back in handicap company.

Latest win came over C&D in November and having been campaigned over inadequate trips since the turn of the year, finds himself 2 lb below his last successful mark. Makes appeal with blinkers back on.

Forecasts

Albert Cee (7/4), Running Cool (5/1), Invincible Melody (6/1), Twilight Madness (13/2), Woodhay Whisper (8/1), Midnight Call (11/1), Bint Havana Gold (16/1), Classy Clarets (20/1), Trust Sergei (25/1), Neptune Legend (28/1)

Verdict

RUNNING COOL went close over 5f here on stable debut in September and is capable when fresh. He could be worth chancing in a wide-open handicap, with recent C&D second Albert Cee (form worked out well) sure to be in contention, though he doesn't look entirely straightforward, while Neptune Legend and Bint Havana Gold both look interesting back over a more suitable trip with headgear refitted.
