Comfortably landed the odds in 2m4f maiden at Plumpton in December. Failed to stay longer trip on handicap bow at Ascot 3 weeks later, but back on track at Windsor last time and combination of 3 lb drop in weights and ease in class should ensure he's very competitive.
Has been shaping up well with handicaps in mind, faring best of those held up when fourth of 13 at Doncaster 4 weeks ago, jumping better than previously. Opening mark demands improvement but that should be forthcoming up in trip.
Progressive in handicaps last season, completing a hat-trick in good style at Sandown (19.8f, soft). It's been downhill all the way since, though, and he remains 5 lb above last winning mark.
Half-brother to high-class hurdler Vauban. Fair form on Flat in France, placed 4 times. Left P. Decouz €40,000 in July and runner-up all 3 starts over hurdles so far. Can remain competitive now handicapping.
Half-brother to The New One and confirmed previous promise over hurdles when making all in novice handicap at Stratford (18.7f) in October. Excuses both starts since at Cheltenham and retains potential in handicaps with this step up in distance expected to suit.
Won twice in quick succession from the same mark in October but was last of 5 in handicap chase at Hereford the following month. Returns to hurdles after a break.
Strong-travelling sort but not the most fluent jumper. Ran up to his best when placed 3 times during the summer but well held completed starts since.
Ninth of 17 in handicap hurdle at Haydock (33/1) 32 days ago after an 8-month absence, typically hanging left. Needs to revive to figure.

Forecasts
Fresh Kicks (5/4), Manigod (9/2), Name Me Nicely (11/2), The Expensive One (13/2), Spitalfield (8/1), Broderick (12/1), Lord Of All Saints (14/1), D'jo Dela Barriere (28/1)
THE EXPENSIVE ONE has had an excuse on both starts at Cheltenham since making all at Stratford in the autumn and, back from a break with the step up in distance in his favour, he could be the answer. Fresh Kicks also eases slightly in grade and is feared most, for all Name Me Nicely is a potential improver.
