Winner at Newcastle on second outing last year but failed to kick on subsequently, fifth of 8 in seller at Musselburgh (20/1) when last seen in October. Goes up in trip on first run for new yard (previously trained by Alice Haynes).

Promise in his qualifying runs last summer and possibly unsuited by switch to patient tactics when third of 5 in nursery at this C&D (11/2) in October. Has been gelded ahead of first run since leaving Jane Chapple-Hyam.

Has shown much improved form sent handicapping/fitted with a visor last 2 starts, scoring comfortably at Wolverhampton before following up by even further at Newcastle (11/8) 4 days ago. Clearly the one to beat under a penalty.

Fair form on second of 3 outings for James Ferguson last year and has matched that level in 2 starts for current yard, latterly when second of 9 in maiden at Lingfield (2/1) 11 days ago. Will need to find more upped in trip for handicap bow.

Marginally best effort when third of 9 in novice at Chelmsford (9/2) in August, though carried head bit awkwardly tried in cheekpieces (now discarded). Goes handicapping on return having been gelded.

Much improved when getting off the mark at Newcastle (7f) in January and scored again in 8f handicap at the same course (7/4) 12 days ago. From a talented family and is respected with more still to offer.

Made a successful nursery debut at Musselburgh last summer and bounced back from a lesser effort when third of 6 at Southwell (6/1) on final outing in September. Could be in the mix on his reappearance.

After 6 months off, provided some encouragement on stable/handicap debut when fourth of 7 over this C&D (18/1) 3 weeks ago, seeming more comfortable upped to 1m. Task is now to build on that effort.

Maria da Silva also arrives bidding for a hat-trick and is feared most, with Port Darwin completing the shortlist.
