Fairly useful on the Flat and won at the second attempt in this sphere in novice at Hexham. Only fifth of 7 under a penalty at Catterick since, though. Could do better now tackling handicap company for the first time.

Made all to win a maiden hurdle in December in a weak contest. Second of 9 in handicap hurdle at Ayr (15/8 favourite) 34 days ago, ran his best race, beaten only by one that had eased in the weights. 6-y-o is still relatively low mileage and can give another good account.

Won twice in the autumn, including easy victory at Uttoxeter (8/13) when settling better in a first-time hood. Fifth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Newbury (5/1) 33 days ago, gave his all in much more competitive company. Will be suited by this drop back in class and should go well.

Won maiden at Sedgefield in May. Sixth of 7 in handicap hurdle back there (50/1) 22 days ago, looking rusty on handicap debut over jumps after 5 months off. Looks averagely treated but eases slightly in grade and could take a step forward with a run under his belt.

Took advantage of a much-reduced mark when opening account for current connections at Bangor in April. Disappointed at Cartmel the following month, though, and he'll need to step up plenty on his reappearance run at Sedgefield in November if he's to play a lead role. Blinkers discarded.

Broke his maiden after 26 attempts when benefiting from visor and front-running at Catterick last month, then won handicap hurdle at Sedgefield (11/8 favourite) 12 days ago, dominating from the front and clear 2 out. Not dismissed in current form but up 9 lbs and now forced up in grade.

C&D scorer but winless since 2023, pulled up in handicap hurdle at Sedgefield (25/1) 22 days ago after 9-week break when making a mistake at the fourth and labouring badly (possibly amiss). Likes it here, however, and worth a market check with cheekpieces back on.

As good as ever when second at Newton Abbot last September but was eighth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Carlisle (18/1) 13 days ago, failing to settle despite hood/tongue strap and untidy at the last. Hasn't won in over two years and likely being brought along with another summer campaign in mind.

Went close at Leicester (15.5f) and again caught the eye with how he moved through the race when fourth over longer trip at Warwick (21f, soft) in December. Fifth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Kempton 14 days ago when less-than-ideally placed. This could suit better and looks interesting.

Back on last winning mark when successful at this C&D in December before respectable fifth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Ayr (22/1) 45 days ago when upped markedly in trip, though never landed a blow. Back down significantly in trip.

Three-time C&D winner last season but hasn't fired this term. Last of 11 in handicap hurdle here (28/1) 13 days ago, made mistakes and was heavily eased. Dropped 5lbs but hard to be confident of a resurgence at 12 years old.

Third behind a pair of subsequent winners at Kelso in October. Latest third (behind He's Bresilian) of 9 in handicap hurdle at Ayr (7/1) 34 days ago, ran better than last time back down in trip but was never a threat to more prominently-ridden pair. Not ruled out with yard back among winners.

Won at Ayr over 16f in November but eleventh of 13 in handicap hurdle at Musselburgh (20/1) 56 days ago, possibly failing to stay the longer trip as she weakened early in the straight. Back down significantly in trip which may help but likely needs respite from handicapper.

Has been running exclusively at Carlisle for new yard. Sixth of 8 in handicap hurdle here (20/1) 64 days ago, raced freely and made good progress out wide before 2 out but couldn't sustain effort. Down 4 lbs and not one to dismiss completely at big odds.

Fairly useful Flat performer AZAHARA PALACE showed plenty in her first two starts over hurdles and she can improve now handicapping. Soldier's Leap won twice in the autumn and gave his all in more competitive company at Newbury last time, while Swinging London wasn't ideally placed at Kempton where the pace held up but can do better eased slightly in grade. Two Auld Pals and Russian Virtue are others to note in a competitive race.
