Time For Heroes Handicap Chase

Off time: 15:20 | Winning time: 5m 18.76s

Siege Of Acres^h³¹

Age: 5| Weight: 12-0| J: Theo Gillard| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 98

4/1

Made frame both starts in Irish points but low-key start to Rules career. Makes chase/handicap debut stepped back up in trip and could well prove a different proposition.

Steady The Ship^p⁶⁷

Age: 10| Weight: 11-8| J: Benjamin Poste| T: S Cameron| OR: 88| D

66/1

Not scored for over 3 years and has run poorly on both starts for his new yard this winter. Mark tumbling but hard to fancy.

Form: 731-FPP

King Horse^p1⁵¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Ryan Mania| T: Paul Robson| OR: 87

10/1

Well held all 4 starts over hurdles, including on handicap bow at Wetherby (16f, soft) 7 weeks ago. Headgear applied for chasing bow (in frame once from 3 starts in Irish points).

Form: 64-6060

Divas Doyen^p¹²

Age: 9| Weight: 11-4| J: P W Wadge| T: Miss S E Forster| OR: 84| D

5/1

Scored twice over fences last season, latterly at Hexham (20.1f) in March. Ran right up to form when second over C&D in November but faced a stiff task from well out of the handicap at Carlisle 12 days ago. Leading claims back from her 'proper' mark.

Form: 3-74324

Didntgotwenty^p⁴⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 10-6| J: Sean Quinlan| T: M Todhunter| OR: 72

11/10

Lightly raced maiden who showed more than on his chasing debut in first-time cheekpieces when second of 7 at this C&D on New Year's Day, benefiting from the drop back in trip. Place claims once again

Form: 47-3552

Mademewhatiam^t⁵¹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-3| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: Annabelle Sowray| OR: 69

9/2

Was placed in a point at the start of his career and showed aptitude for chasing at Wetherby a couple of times in December, shaping much better first time up. Mark drops 2 lb and could well get involved.

Forecasts

Didntgotwenty (11/10), Siege Of Acres (4/1), Mademewhatiam (9/2), Divas Doyen (5/1), King Horse (10/1), Steady The Ship (66/1)

DIVAS DOYEN proved at least as good as ever when runner-up over C&D in November and with her latest run easily excused, Sandy Forster's 9-y-o can regain the winning thread at the expense of Siege of Acres, who hasn't shown much so far under Rules but this switch to chasing/handicap company could be just what's required. Mademewhatiam can edge out Didntgotwenty for minor honours.
