Betfair Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

£140,000 Irish point winner who made it second time lucky over hurdles in 21.5f course novice in November. Found out in Grade 1 company at Newbury since but can play a prominent role back in calmer waters. Tongue tied first time for last year's winning yard.

Fairly useful form shown when placed in a trio of bumpers and has gone the right way over hurdles since tongue tied, building on December's Hereford second when going one better in a Ludlow maiden (21f, soft) 30 days ago.

A £140,000 buy after finishing runner-up sole start in Irish points. Shaped well on the first of 2 bumper starts for Harry Derham last spring and made a winning start over hurdles for new trainer Ben Pauling in 21f Ludlow maiden (soft) last month. Likely to improve and leading claims.

Wide-margin point/bumper winner who overcame inexperience to make a successful start to his hurdle career in maiden at Ffos Las (2½m) in October. Better form when placed under a penalty twice since and no reason why he won't give his running again.

Point winner showed fair form to place in multiple maiden hurdles between 2½m-3m for Paul Nolan in Ireland but well beaten in a 2m Haydock handicap and 21f Kempton novice since joining Dan Skelton. Best watched.

9/1, shaped well when second of 15 in maiden hurdle at Tipperary (25f, good to soft) on debut last May. Down in trip on return for new yard. Should be capable of better and it'll be interesting to see what the betting makes of him.
