Continued theme of race-by race progress when third of 7 on handicap debut at this course (7f) in early January. Ran no sort of race when tenth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (1m) next time however, but it's far too soon to be writing him off and he should stay this far.

Successful on first 2 starts for John Butler last winter but not progressed subsequently, including in 4 starts on turf/AW for present stable last summer. Near four-month break needs to have had positive effect.

Has found winning difficult since back-to-back handicap successes in spring 2025. However, ran one of his better races this AW season having started better when second of 12 in handicap at Lingfield Park (1m) 13 days ago. Task is to back that up.

Added another C&D success to his tally from 2 lb lower in December before a good third of 9 in handicap back over C&D last month, a wide passage not aiding his cause. Well drawn on this occasion and he's a definite each-way player.

Veteran who has run to a similar level all 3 starts since returning from a short break this winter, latterly when sixth of 9 in handicap here (9.5f) 11 days ago, weakening final 1f. Probably vulnerable to younger rivals once more.

Improving 4-y-o who has both career wins over C&D, value for extra 32 days ago having made a big move into contention out wide (runner-up won next time). Up 6 lb but will continue to give a good account.

Twice a winner at this course including over C&D and he bettered recent efforts (best effort for present yard) when second of 9 in handicap at Kempton (1m) 9 days ago. First-time blinkers replace cheekpieces and possibilities with a repeat from unchanged mark.

Sole success came at this course (7.1f) in November 2024. Efforts distinctly mixed since and whilst not disgraced when fourth of 10 in a C&D classified event (11/4 fav) 14 days ago that may well be his level nowadays.

R P MCMURPHY is steadily going the right way, gaining a second C&D success 32 days ago. Value for more than the bare margin that day, this likeable type can defy a 6 lb rise. Antiquity ran one of his better races having crucially broken on terms when second at Lingfield 13 days ago and is a player if able to replicate that performance, whilst Age of Time and Al Hofzan are others commanding a second look.
