Tutti Quanti70
Age: 6|  Weight: 12-0| J: H Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR:  138| CD
Disappointing in Welsh Champion on Chepstow reappearance but back to form with a bang to win Gerry Feilden over C&D (good to soft) at the end of November. Kept fresh for this since and his mark still looks workable.

Go Dantet22
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-10| J: S Bowen| T: O Murphy| OR:  134| D
Dual Imperial Cup winner at Sandown. Enhanced his excellent record at that Esher venue with another win in December but well beaten at Windsor last month. Opposable again away from Sandown.

Age: 9|  Weight: 11-8| J: Harriet Tucker(7)| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  132| CD
Likeable front-runner who ended last term on a high, recording back-to-back wins over C&D and at Chepstow. Struggled on first 2 starts this season but very much back on form when 1½ lengths second of 8 to Serious Challenge at Haydock at the end of December.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-8| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  132| BF| D
Enthusiastic front-runner who progressed well last term, making his second start in handicaps a winning one in 20-runner race at Aintree Grand National meeting (2½m). Placed in another big-field handicap at Punchestown in May and entitled to have needed comeback at Windsor in January. Down in trip.

Age: 11|  Weight: 11-8| J: Miss Heidi Palin(7)| T: D Skelton| OR:  132| C| D
Won the County Hurdle at Cheltenham Festival in 2023. Showed he retains most of that ability when third of 18 in Greatwood at Cheltenham in November but has failed to reproduce that form in a pair of Ascot handicaps since.

£180,000 Irish point recruit who has made a good start to his Rules career, landing a bumper last February and adding 2 hurdle wins this season, latterly a Ludlow novice in December. While a mark of 130 isn't obviously generous his stable is no stranger to success in this race.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: Brendan Powell| T: B Pauling| OR:  130
Much improved since sent handicapping, bolting up when sent off a heavily-backed 5/4 favourite on 16.5f Doncaster reappearance in December. Didn't travel with quite the same zip but still ran with credit when fifth of 15 in Lanzarote at Kempton (21f, good) last month. Could resume his progression.

Hot Fussv22(ex 5)
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-6| J: David Bass| T: Tom Dascombe| OR:  125| BF| D
Useful on Flat and similar standard over hurdles, gaining some reward for some fine efforts in handicaps when bagging a valuable prize at Windsor (2m, soft) last month. Incurs a 5 lb penalty for that. Likely to give it his usual good shot.

Bubble Dubi91
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-5| J: Charlie Hammond| T: S Edmunds| OR:  129| D
Strong traveller who posted a useful effort to make light of a long absence in 17f Aintree handicap in November, although he hasn't always been the most fluent of jumpers and may have been aided by more than half the flights being omitted due to a low sun.

All In Youh35
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: James Bowen| T: W Greatrex| OR:  127| D
Dual Flat/hurdle winner in France and has made a very promising start to life with Warren Greatrex, building on excellent Ascot second to Dance And Glance (Let It Rain third) when sweeping through from off the pace to readily see off Dance And Glance at Sandown (2m, good to soft). Big player.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-3| J: Isabelle Ryder(5)| T: Jamie Snowden| OR:  127| D
Better than ever when scoring at Haydock (2m, heavy) last winter. Best effort this season when 6½ lengths fifth of 14 to Hot Fuss at Windsor (2m, soft) 22 days ago but his mark continues to look a little high for a race like this. Usually wears a hood and tongue tie but the former is left off here.

Wreckless Eric28
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Kielan Woods| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  126| D
Won strong novice handicap at Cheltenham last season. Ran another cracker when narrowly denied by Go Dante in Imperial Cup at Sandown last spring. Hasn't hit the same heights in 2 outings this season but should find this return to 2m more suitable than the 21f Lanzarote at Kempton last time.

Let It Rain50
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-0| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  124| BF| D
Listed bumper winner who has made good progress in light hurdle career, shaping very well back from 13 months off when ½-length third of 15 to Dance And Glance (All In You second) in 2m Ascot handicap in December. Definitely more to come for a leading yard well known for prowess in top handicaps.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Freddie Gordon| T: C Gordon| OR:  121| D
Point recruit who built on an encouraging hurdle debut third when winning 2m Plumpton maiden in November. Back on the up when seeing off 12 rivals in Wincanton handicap (soft) in December but well behind a few of these at Windsor since.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Rex Dingle| T: A J Honeyball| OR:  121| D
Has done very little wrong since switched to handicaps, including getting the better of All In You and Let It Rain at Ascot before Christmas. The former proved 1½ lengths too strong for him at Sandown since but it was another really good effort from this 6-y-o.

Forecasts

Let It Rain (9/4), Un Sens A La Vie (11/2), All In You (6/1), Lanesborough (15/2), Tutti Quanti (15/2), Hot Fuss (10/1), Dance And Glance (14/1), The Hardest Geezer (14/1), Milldam (20/1), Bubble Dubi (25/1), Wellington Arch (25/1), Wreckless Eric (25/1), Go Dante (33/1), Bucephalus (33/1), Faivoir (33/1), Poet Laureate (66/1)

Verdict

This is one of the few leading handicap hurdles to have eluded Dan Skelton and he might be able to put that right courtesy of LET IT RAIN, who made a highly promising start to her handicap career when a close third at Ascot before Christmas. All In You was narrowly ahead of her in second on that occasion and is feared most having scored in taking fashion at Sandown since. Gerry Feilden winner Tutti Quanti is next on the list ahead of the likeable Hot Fuss.
