Created a good impression when winning a maiden and novice hurdle at Ffos Las last season. Off 10 months before pulled up on his chasing bow there (25f) in October and needs a major step forward here with cheekpieces applied, though he's always looked as if he'll stay long distances.

Has long looked as if he'll stay long distances and hasn't shaped too badly around 3m in 3 starts this winter, not beaten far when third of 4 in handicap chase at Plumpton (25.7f, soft, 5/2) 11 days ago. Interesting now asked to go over further.

Took some time to score on these shores but landed a handicap hurdle at Lingfield around this time last year and ended a lengthy drought over fences when scoring at that same course (23.5f, soft) 18 days ago. Reason to believe he'll stay this extended trip and he's not discounted from 5 lb higher.

Sole win under Rules came on debut almost 4 years ago but his mark slipped and he posted a creditable effort when second of 5 in a veterans' handicap at Catterick (25.2f, good to soft) last month. This looks tougher but he can give anther good account.

Fair handicap hurdler and belatedly proved himself as good over fences when runner-up at Hereford in December. Built on that to win an 11-runner event there (25.2f, soft) 25 days ago, albeit not jumping with great fluency. Still interesting from 5 lb higher mark.

Not the easiest to catch right but there was some encouragement over an inadequate trip at Ludlow in December. Failed to justify support when sixth in a big-field handicap at Windsor (won race last year) 3 weeks ago but he remains on an eye-catching mark and can't be dismissed.

Promising second of 14 on 23f Worcester chase debut in June 2024 and was notably well backed when coming home last of 3 finishers in a Hereford race won by Ithaka on return last month, the outing clearly needed. Should still do better, though is 3 lb out of weights this time.

JACKS PARROT tends to give his running in these marathon handicaps and the 7-year-old looks a reliable option on the back of a good third in the Tommy Whittle. Planned Paradise isn't the most straightforward but he's on a really handy mark and the promise of his penultimate start at Ludlow shouldn't be discounted, with Ithaka also considered if able to back up his recent Hereford win.
