Bumper winner who built on his promising hurdles debut when landing 7-runner Leicester novice (15.5f, heavy) 35 days ago, responding well. Should have more to offer, particularly over this longer trip.

Third in 3 bumpers last season and bright start switched to timber following a breathing operation this time around, again beaten only narrowly in 7-runner Lingfield maiden (2m) in December. Step back up in trip looks sure to suit and he's respected.

Some promise in a couple of bumpers for Tom Weston and similar story in trio of hurdle starts for new yard this winter. Probably more one for handicaps after this, though.

9/4
Son of Jet Away who shaped with promise when placed in a pair of 2m4f Ffos Las novice hurdles, a clear second of 4 on latter occasion in November. This winning pointer is open to more progress and is a must for the shortlist.

£55,000 5-y-o, Jukebox Jury gelding who landed sole start in Irish points and equipped with a tongue strap, he showed ability when fourth of 11 in maiden hurdle at Hereford (19.7f) on Rules bow in December. In good hands and he's entitled to do better.

Runner-up sole start in Irish points and he showed much more than he had on hurdling debut when finishing a solid fifth of 12 in an Ascot maiden (21.6f) 44 days ago. Appeals as the type to do better again and possibilities in this less demanding affair.

Forecasts

Cinquenta (6/4), Gee Force Flyer (9/4), Jukebox King (4/1), Roi Du Risk (8/1), Seamoon Story (8/1), Roi Du Roume (25/1), Gaelic Glow (100/1), Wings Of Arion (100/1), Mc'flo (400/1)

Verdict

GEE FORCE FLYER built on his hurdles debut promise when beaten only by a subsequent winner over this sort of trip at Ffos Las in November and, appealing as the type to progress further, he rates a lead player here. Cinquenta has made a sound start himself over timber and is an obvious threat. Jukebox King, Seamoon Story and Roi du Risk are others holding legitimate claims.
