Waldgeist colt who is related to a host of smart sorts, yet he showed only greenness when last of 7 in maiden at Chelmsford City (8f, 3/1) on debut 15 days ago, missing break. The fact he attracted support then shouldn't be forgotten and this promises to reveal a good deal more.

Son of Too Darn Hot who ran to a similar level as on debut (modest form) when fifth of 8 in novice at Chelmsford City (10f) 50 days ago. Still appeared to be learning on the job then and, having been gelded subsequently, a better showing could well be on the cards.

Twice-raced maiden. Ninth of 11 in maiden (28/1) at Southwell (8.1f) 10 days ago. Longer trips/handicaps promise to be more his bag moving forward.

Went with little encouragement when seventh of 11 in maiden at Lingfield in December and he could only run to a similar level despite finishing third in a similar contest at that venue 4 weeks ago. Low-grade handicaps will see him to better effect moving forward.

£5,000 yearling, Zoustar gelding. Easy to back but showed ability amidst inexperience when second of 7 in maiden at this course (7.2f, 28/1) on debut 28 days ago, albeit possibly helped by way race developed. Worth considering up in trip.

Planteur filly who proved easy to back and offered little short-term encouragement when seventh of 9 in maiden at Lingfield (8f, AW) on debut 27 days ago, ridden before halfway and never a threat. One for later on.

Not a strong novice by any means and it may pay to side with James Tate's HOT TO HOT. He looked to be learning on the job in a couple of novice/maiden contests during December and a subsequent gelding operation may well have had a positive effect ahead of this. Tommo's Ginjaninja finished runner-up on debut here 4 weeks ago and he's feared. Hengist Pod is another to keep a close eye on with his debut run under his belt.
