9/2
Dual winner of handicap hurdles during 2024 who made a much better fist of things than previously this season from a tumbling mark when staying on for fifth in 19-runner handicap hurdle at Ayr (20,5f, soft) 25 days ago. Now his task is to build on that over this longer trip.

Winning pointer who also showed promise in a pair of bumpers. However, yet to make an impact in handful of hurdle runs, equipped with cheekpieces (retained here) when pulled on handicap debut at Ayr (20.5f) 25 days ago. Needs to show more before becoming of interest.

Showed a bit over hurdles and fences in France, but yet to get competitive in trio of starts for present connections, never landing a blow when fourth of 7 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (19.9f, heavy) 39 days ago. Cheekpieces/tongue tie now reached for.

Boasts just the one hurdles success from 22 NH runs and he hasn't looked like adding to his tally in the main this winter, losing place before 2 out when fifth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Carlisle (19.3f, soft) 44 days ago. Steps back up in trip now but others rate stronger.

16/5
Dual-point winner who showed much improved form upped in trip/equipped with cheekpieces when readily landing 16-runner handicap hurdle at Wetherby (24.1f, soft, 9/1) 31 days ago. Further progress looks on the cards now the penny has dropped and big shout up 6 lb.

11/2
Low-mileage 8-y-o who was far from disgraced when third on the second of his 3 starts in handicaps last winter. Disappointed either side of that though, and he reportedly bled when pulled up on his return/chase debut at Ayr in December. Returns to hurdling with something to prove.

Little impact in novice/maidens and no upturn for when eighth of 10 on handicap debut at Ayr (24.3f) 14 days ago. Big step forward required if he's to figure.

Best effort to date when a well held third in a 9-runner novice on qualifying run at Bangor (19.6f, soft) in April and she's finished well held both starts in handicaps so far this winter.

Poor maiden/novice form but he did at least make a better fist of things after 9 months off when third of 6 in handicap hurdle at Sedgefield (21.2f, soft) 53 days ago, plugging on again from 2 out. Needs to build on that now stamina is tested further.

Forecasts

Dartmhor (11/4), Kalo Athena (16/5), Dillarchie (7/2), Eire Street (9/2), Fiveafterfour (5/1), Wainwright (11/2), Parish Quiz (9/1), Le Beau Gosse (11/1), Half Track (12/1), Annies Gold (22/1), Blue Indigo (25/1)

Verdict

KALO ATHENA showed much-improved form equipped with cheekpieces when readily off the mark at Wetherby a month ago, seeing out the 3m trip thoroughly, and she looks to hold obvious claims from a 6 lb higher mark now the penny has dropped. Dillarchie following her good recent Catterick second heads up the dangers, with Eire Street and Fiveafterfour also considered.
