Taffy Jenkins Memorial Mares' Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Won 3 bumpers last season, including a Sandown listed race. Ran a race full of promise on hurdling debut when second at Newbury on return before fluffing her lines when long odds-on to go one place better at Wincanton, making mistakes. Well worth another chance.

Bought for £320,000 after winning sole outing in Irish points and is from the family of top-class hurdler Nichols Canyon. In process of making an encouraging start over timber when unseating rider 3 out in listed novice at Newbury in November and this will reveal a lot more.

Placed all 3 starts in points but eased as though amiss on Rules debut in Aintree bumper for J.Newman in May.

Zoustar filly who has hinted at ability in 2 bumpers and as many starts in novice hurdles (hooded) but probably one for handicaps.

Has shown little to date and isn't one to be interested in.

Linda's Lad mare. Dam, ran twice over hurdles, winner around 2m on Flat. Lost place a long way out on debut in March.

Merely hinted at promise in 3 runs.

Big prices and minor promise both hurdles starts in recent weeks.

£115,000 4-y-o, Mahler filly. Dam, unraced, closely related to useful hurdler/very smart chaser Beware The Bear. Easily won sole start in Irish points in May and showed plenty when second in a Carlisle bumper in November. Failed to land the odds on hurdles bow at Hexham but she can do better.

Bred more for stamina than speed and carried little threat both starts so far.
