Promising second in Newbury bumper on debut but possibly amiss in the second and again went out like a light sent hurdling after 9 months off here in December. Has had a breathing operation subsequently.
Modest on Flat (stays 17f), down the field last 3 starts. Makes very little appeal on hurdling debut.
Related to winners but was edgy in the preliminaries prior to finishing last in a 6-runner Ascot bumper in November and fared no better tried hurdling at Taunton 7 weeks later.
€105,000 purchase who looked a good prospect when winning a Uttoxeter bumper in March. Plenty of promise when runner-up on return/hurdles bow at Chepstow (2m, soft) in November and noted finishing with running left when fourth in Grade 2 at Haydock latest. Remains capable of better.
Made the frame all 3 starts in bumpers and made a sound start over hurdles with a hood added when third of 11 in C&D maiden in November. However, ran below that level at Kempton the following month.
Irish point winner in May 2023. It took a while for new connections to get him to the track but it proved worth the wait when coming from off the pace to win a Ludlow bumper in April. Raced too freely when well held on Newbury hurdle bow and should do better.
Irish point winner who made a sound start to his hurdle career when fourth of 12 in novice at Exeter (17f, good to soft) in November. Couldn't quite match that form at Lingfield and probably of more interest in handicaps after this.
Roman Candle gelding. Half-brother to 4 winners, including useful hurdler/smart chaser Daly Tiger and Elyt of Gold. Dam maiden jumper. Fourth of 5 finishers only outing in Irish points (Feb 2025).
Fairly useful form when winning maiden bumper at Moulins (11.9f) in 2023/24 for Emmanuel Clayeux. Absent since but needs a close look in the betting ahead of hurdling/UK debut.
Created a good impression when making all in 5-runner bumper at Ascot (15.7f, good) on debut in November. Looked a hard ride fitted with a hood when comfortably held on Newbury hurdling debut but should prove capable of better.
Buck's Boum gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler/smart chaser Epson du Houx. Dam maiden chaser in France. Shaped with some encouragement when fourth of 10 in novice hurdle at Hereford (16.2f) on debut 58 days ago, late headway.
Modest form in 2 bumpers and finished a tailed-off second of 4 in maiden hurdle at Sandown (2m) 19 days ago.
Son Of Milan showed promise when twice third in bumpers and stepped up on his hurdling debut form when second in 11-runner maiden at Uttoxeter (15.8f, heavy) 34 days ago. Capable of bettter still.
Shirocco gelding. Half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Coeur Serein, stays 31f. Dam point winner, out of sister to useful 2m hurdler Spirit Leader and from good jumping family. One to note in the betting.
Masterstroke gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to bumper winner/smart hurdler (2m-2¾m winner) Polly Peachum and fairly useful chaser (2½m/21f winner) Some Man. Third on second of 2 starts in points (Nov 23).
Modest maiden on Flat who looks set for a struggle on hurdling debut.

Forecasts
Double Measure (2/5), Limier D'arthel (9/2), Pertemps (7/1), Lully Du Houx (12/1), Hans Lippershey (20/1), Sims' Law (22/1), Bobajob (28/1), The Den Master (33/1), Loustic Du Chatel (40/1), Jorah D'alma (50/1), Kado Sacree (66/1), Night Ride Home (80/1), Different Drum (300/1), Dino Moon (300/1), Laios Tresor (400/1), Papa Oscar (400/1)
DOUBLE MEASURE has shaped with plenty of promise on both his starts over hurdles and this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account in this sphere. French bumper winner Limier D'arthel needs a close look in the betting however, as does newcomer Sims' Law, who's from a good jumping family.
