Flaked Oats Memorial Novices' Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Bagged novice hurdle at Ffos Las in May and further progress switched to fences this season, scoring at Hereford (25.2f, good to soft) last month. Likeable type and can do better again.

Useful 17f dual-hurdles winner in France in 2022 but below that level in 3 starts for Phillip Hobbs. Only seen twice in last 3 years, finishing well held on chase debut at Chepstow 15 months ago. Something to prove on return for new connections here.

Big improver over hurdles in 2023/24, winning 5 on the spin, and added to his tally at Newton Abbot in October 2024. Not scored since but has been cut some slack by the handicapper and will be dangerous if he can repeat form of his Cheltenham return fourth in October. Wears first-time cheekpieces.

A fair 2m4f hurdles winner who upped his game when close second in this contest (off same mark) last season. Failed to complete in both starts this term, however.

Failed to build on his hurdles debut third when a remote second of 6 in novice at Chepstow (23.6f, good to firm) 8 months ago. Returns for his chasing bow and boasts experience between the flags so is worth a second look in the market.

Maiden hurdle winner at Huntingdon last spring. Well supported ahead of chase debut at Taunton in November but jumped poorly and will need to be far slicker at the obstacles with cheekpieces enlisted if he's to have a say in the finish.

Fair juvenile hurdler/chaser in France who has acquitted herself well over the larger obstacles for Paul Nicholls, latest when good second of 6 in handicap chase at this course (20.2f, good to soft) 20 days ago. Can race off same mark and looks well worth a crack at this longer trip.

Placed in points/bumper and scored over hurdles in maiden at Hexham in December 2024. Latest fourth of 9 in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster was a decent effort but he didn't show a great deal on his sole previous attempt in this sphere at Windsor.
