Botox Hasb15
Age: 10|  Weight: 12-0| J: Mr Jude Fernandes(10)| T: G & J Moore| OR:  144
Good third in the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham last January, but he was otherwise below par last season and again when fifth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Wincanton (24.7f, good to soft) 15 days ago. Needs to bounce back in a change of headgear.

Lud'or42
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-9| J: Caoilin Quinn| T: T Symonds| OR:  139| BF
French recruit who was much improved when making all in 2m4f Bangor handicap in November. Confirmed that no fluke hit with a 13 lb hike when a solid third in stronger company at Newbury (20.5f) 42 days ago. In the picture on his first go over this trip.

Age: 11|  Weight: 11-8| J: Freddie Keighley(7)| T: P F Nicholls| OR:  138
Ended a losing run in 23f Uttoxeter handicap in March but well below par both runs since, only 11th in 3m Haydock handicap on his return in November. Others are more persuasive.

Long Draw29
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: S Bowen| T: O Murphy| OR:  136
A dual 3m scorer last term and in good nick this time around until coming in ninth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Cheltenham (24f, good to soft) 29 days ago. The sort to bounce back.

Green Book35
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-3| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR:  133
A very useful 3m-winning hurdler at his best but off for 33 months before being pulled up in handicap hurdle at Sandown (23.5f) 35 days ago. Others appeal more on this occasion.

Doughmore Bay28
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: J J Burke| T: Miss E C Lavelle| OR:  128
A useful winning hurdler in 2023/24. Not discredited after 19 months off when third in 3m Windsor handicap in November but pulled up on his belated chasing bow at Cheltenham after an early blunder. Possibilities back in this sphere though.

Lord Snootie22
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-7| J: Jack Tudor| T: Christian Williams| OR:  123| C
A fairly useful staying hurdler in 2023/24 but looked rusty after 14 months off when tenth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Ascot (21.7f, good to soft) 22 days ago. This course winner can take a step forward.

Tranquil Seat,p29
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-7| J: Tristan Durrell| T: D Skelton| OR:  123
Quick to make his mark for new yard at Chepstow (3m) in October and in good nick since, sixth of 10 in handicap at Cheltenham (24f, good to soft) 29 days ago when unsuited by way race developed. Very much one to consider off the same mark.

Felicie Du Maquist35
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-5| J: Miss Clara Brewitt(7)| T: C Boultbee-Brooks| OR:  121| CWS
Course winner who wasn't disgraced on just his third run over fences when fourth of 6 in handicap chase at Chepstow (23.6f, good to soft) 35 days ago. Reverts to hurdles after a wind op and this veteran mare is no forlorn hope.

Rubber Ball15
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-5| J: Brendan Powell| T: N B King| OR:  121
Irish point winner who also landed a brace of 2m maiden/novice hurdles last term. Yet to hit top form this season though, seventh of 8 in handicap hurdle at Aintree (20f, good) 15 days ago. Much more is required now stepping up in trip.

Forecasts

Lud'or (3/1), Long Draw (4/1), Tranquil Sea (5/1), Lord Snootie (15/2), Rubber Ball (8/1), Botox Has (10/1), Red Risk (12/1), Spike Jones (14/1), Doughmore Bay (14/1), Green Book (20/1), Felicie Du Maquis (25/1)

Verdict

A few of these arrive with a question mark against them so Dan Skelton's in-form TRANQUIL SEA is taken to bag a second success for the yard having not been seen to ideal effect at Cheltenham last time. Lud'or has returned an improved model this season and could prove the main danger if his stamina lasts out on his first go over a staying trip, while Long Draw, Spike Jones and Doughmore Bay can't be discounted either.
