Fair gelding. 2/5, improved on recent efforts to win 7-runner minor event at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 4 days ago, well on top finish. Still not long with a yard that do really well with new recruits and should take all the beating again.

Modest gelding. C&D winner. Latest win at Kempton in December. 7/1, respectable fifth of 12 in handicap at this C&D (AW) 19 days ago, left with lot to do. In good form at present and should be in the mix again.

Forecasts

Secret Road (1/2), Vitalline (5/1), Valadero (6/1), Dr Ali (8/1), Under Curfew (22/1), Invincible Storm (28/1), Miraflores (33/1), Alyara (80/1)

Verdict

SECRET ROAD was backed as if defeat was out of the question when scoring at Wolverhampton earlier in the week and looks set up to follow up here. Valadero is a long-standing maiden but ran well at Kempton last time and can give another account, whilst Vitalline also arrives in good heart and can complete the placings.

  1. Secret Road1/2
  2. Valadero6/1
  3. Vitalline5/1
