Twice-raced maiden. Fifth of 8 in novice at Beverley (5f, good to firm, 16/1) when last seen in July. Bred to benefit from this stiffer test and while handicaps will be more her thing in due course, she has to enter calculations.

Once-raced maiden. Eighth of 12 in novice at Lingfield (7f, AW, 18/1) on debut 22 days ago. Likely to improve with that experience to draw upon and she needs a second look.

Twice-raced maiden. 15/2, fifth of 8 in maiden at this C&D 15 days ago. Probably more one for handicaps in due course, but she can't be ruled out in a race of this nature.

Forecasts

Jamie Sommers (10/11), Katie's Song (9/4), Bergamo Gold (7/2), Faffs Gold (11/2), That's Enough (7/1), Show Me Gold (9/1), Enchantres (20/1), Peas And Queues (66/1)

Verdict

Those with experience don't set a particularly daunting standard and newcomers KATIE'S SONG and Show Me Gold are sufficiently appealing on paper to head the shortlist. It will be interesting to see how they both shape up in the betting but, as things stand, preference is for Katie's Song, who represents a yard that has enjoyed a highly productive 2025 with youngsters. The pick of those with experience could be Jamie Sommers, who wasn't beaten far at Beverley on her latest start in the summer.
