Horse A-Z
Sent off the 2/1 favourite when sixth on bumper debut at Hexham but shaped as if in need of more time when well held over C&D on hurdles bow earlier this month. Worth a market check with yard also saddling Linalene.

Timeform
Fair handicapper on Flat (stays 2¼m) but ran below that level when midfield in a Musselburgh novice on hurdle debut. Could be one for handicaps down the line.
|
Timeform
Placed in a weak course bumper back in the spring and has offered little in two starts this season. Hard to fancy with blinkers now applied.
|
Timeform
Shaped like a stayer in bumpers and failed to land a blow on hurdles debut at Hexham 19 days ago. Will make more appeal in handicaps.

Had some solid form in bumpers and has shaped well in two of his 3 starts over hurdles, finishing with running left when third in a C&D novice (heavy) last month. Likely to be capable of better at some stage.

Won a weak 5-runner bumper here in April but went with little encouragement on hurdle debut over C&D in October.

Timeform
Related to a trio of winners and showed a fair level of ability in bumpers last season. Got no further than first on hurdles debut and should come on for his recent fourth over C&D. One to consider.

Timeform
Runner-up sole start in Irish points and showed promise when third of 6 in Newcastle bumper on Rules debut last month. Unable to build on that sent hurdling last time and may be a longer-term project.
|
Timeform
Boasts a good pedigree and made winning debut in a 12-runner bumper at Ayr (16f, soft) in January by 3 lengths from Triple Crown Ted. Switches to hurdles now and must be of interest for in-form yard.
|
Timeform
Won sole starts in points. Likely needed bumper/Rules debut and shaped well (following wind surgery) on hurdling bow when no match for subsequent Grade 1 winner Idaho Sun at Bangor (16.7f, heavy) last month. Could be one to beat if he can back that up.

Makes little appeal on paper and no impact on two bumper starts. Difficult to make a case for on hurdling bow.

Forecasts

They Want Me (2/1), They're Chancers (3/1), Lance Les Des (5/1), Linalene (13/2), Party In The Park (10/1), Elemental Eye (12/1), Knockeranna Rose (14/1), Belvedere Bhoy (16/1), Lester Mail (25/1), Changemyluck (100/1), Ellistrin Bay (150/1)

Verdict

No match for subsequent Grade 1 winner Idaho Sun on hurdle debut last month, this could be a good opportunity for THEY WANT ME to open his hurdles account. Lance Les Des finished with running left when third over C&D on reappearance and could improve, along with Linalene who finished fourth on what was effectively his hurdles bow last time. Once-raced bumper winner They're Chancers is one to note for support for the in-form Nicky Richards yard.
