Fools Rush In^t,v¹⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 9-9| J: J P Sullivan| T: Mrs R Carr| OR: 60| CD

11/1

C&D winner. Again ran below form when ninth of 10 in handicap (18/1) at this course (7.2f) a fortnight ago. Heads back up in trip in a reapplied tongue tie and that combination needs to spark a revival.

Mbappe⁵⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-9| J: Billy Loughnane| T: D M Loughnane| OR: 60

11/2

Arrived in good form but wasn't seen to best effect when seventh of 10 in handicap (4/1) at Kempton (8f) 8 weeks ago, not ideally placed. Lurks on an attractive mark with Billy Loughnane back in the plate.

Form: 009337

Danehill Star¹⁴²

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Jack Doughty| T: A W Carroll| OR: 58| CD

10/1

Course winner. 4 wins from 14 runs this year. 5/1, ran well under an aggressive ride when second of 8 in handicap at Brighton (8f, good) when last seen back in August. Won his last couple on the al-weather in the spring so he'd be folly to ignore on return.

Form: 153722

(6)

Pacific Prince¹⁷¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Laura Coughlan⁽³⁾| T: J Bennett| OR: 58

100/1

No impact in 3 novices and a handicap so very hard to make a case for returning from a 6-month absence.

Form: 6-099

(5)

The Dark Baron¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Ben Ffrench-Davis⁽⁵⁾| T: Kathy Turner| OR: 58| CD

11/5

Course winner in October. 7/2, wasted no time getting back on the up when a close third of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW) 12 days ago. Every chance he can add to his tally from the same mark.

Form: 914133

(11)

Summer Evening^b1¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Darragh Keenan| T: D Flood| OR: 55

125/1

150/1 and hooded for 1st time, showed nothing when tailed-off last of 12 in maiden at this course (12.2f) 12 days ago. Back down in trip. Blinkers on 1st time. Makes handicap debut.

Form: 6-70

(2)

Lhebayeb⁵⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 9-2| J: Finley Marsh| T: R J Price| OR: 53| CD

28/1

C&D winner. 3 wins from 18 runs this year. 11/1, found run of good form coming to a halt when ninth of 11 in handicap at Bath (8f, soft) a couple of months ago. Will need to hit the ground running to feature.

Form: 460439

(10)

R P Mcmurphy⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Edward Greatrex| T: M Appleby| OR: 55| BF| CD

11/4

C&D winner earlier this month. Wasn't disgraced when third of 10 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f, 6/4) 8 days ago. Fancied to be in the shake up again despite a wide draw.

Form: 003313

(8)

Charlatan¹⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 9-0| J: Callum Shepherd| T: D M Simcock| OR: 51| CD

6/1

C&D winner. 15/2, back to form when second of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW) 10 days ago. Nudged up 2 lb for that near miss but there's no reason to suggest he can't go close again.

Form: 974772

(9)

Boujee Gold²⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 8-12| J: Marco Ghiani| T: A W Carroll| OR: 49| CD

16/1

C&D winner. 22/1, again ran below form when tenth of 12 in handicap at this course (9.5f) 26 days ago. Dips below his last winning mark so worth a second glance, especially should market support arrive.

Form: 260390

(4)

Supernova Steps⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: Hollie Doyle| T: D Loughnane| OR: 46

18/1

Twelve runs since last win in 2024. 9/1, fared no better after a further 8 weeks off when twelfth of 13 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f) 9 days ago. Up in trip.

Form: 944300

Forecasts

The Dark Baron (11/5), R P Mcmurphy (11/4), Mbappe (11/2), Charlatan (6/1), Danehill Star (10/1), Fools Rush In (11/1), Boujee Gold (16/1), Supernova Steps (18/1), Lhebayeb (28/1), Pacific Prince (100/1), Summer Evening (125/1)

Several in with a squeak but THE DARK BARON has taken his form up a notch in recent months so Kathy Turner's 3-y-o can make it 3 wins from his last 6 starts at the expense of Charlatan, who was narrowly denied at Lingfield 10 days ago. R P McMurphy won over this C&D earlier in the month and he can fight out minor honours with Danehill Star.
