A fairly useful 2m4f hurdles winner but he failed to build on his chasing debut fourth at Kempton (18f) when beating just one in 2m4f Wincanton handicap chase 48 days ago. Needs to take a step forward.
A fair 2m4f hurdles scorer who has bettered his form in this sphere, second of 7 in handicap chase at Wincanton (20.2f, soft) 22 days ago. Very much one to consider.
Irish point scorer who also bagged a pair of novice hurdles (around 2m) at Carlisle and Kelso in April. Went off too hard when seventh of 13 in handicap hurdle at Carlisle (17.2f, soft) last month and needs considering now going chasing.
Bagged three chase wins for Dan Skelton in the spring but yet to fire in a trio of runs for her current yard, back chasing when only 13th at Cheltenham (20.6f, good) 13 days ago. Needs to take a big step forward.
A fairly useful ex-French hurdler/chaser who won 2m4f handicap chase at Durtal last month for D. Sourdeau de Beauregard. Since changed hands for €13,000 and much respected for his new yard.
A fair 2m4f winner over hurdles but he came in only eighth of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (20.1f, good to soft) on his debut over fences 15 days ago. Not written off yet.
Course winner who shaped as if better for the run after 8 months off when sixth of 10 in handicap chase at Hexham (15.6f, good to soft) 49 days ago. Up in trip. Can take a step forward here.
A 4-time C&D winner, including in this 12 months ago. Looked rusty after 7 months off when seventh of 9 in handicap chase at Haydock (19.9f, good) 23 days ago. Back on his last winning mark now for his in-form yard so he's a likely player.
Signed off for Paul Nicholls with 2m4f success at Fontwell in May. Changed hands for £40,000 but raced too freely when a below-form third of 7 in handicap chase at Hexham (20.1f, good) following month. Not ruled out after a break.

Forecasts
Scorsese (15/8), Jermyn Raffles (9/2), Sayva (9/2), Double Digits (7/1), Ailt An Chorrain (7/1), Tom Creen (17/2), Raffles Wonder (16/1), Lady Jago (40/1), Fortunate Fella (50/1)
This looks wide open but Sam England has her string in excellent nick so it could be worth siding with TOM CREEN to build on his reappearance at Haydock and follow up last year's win in this event now he has slipped back down to a winning mark. Scorsese rates a big threat but could again have to settle for second, while Mickey Bowen's ex-French recruit Jermyn Raffles and chasing newcomer Double Digits could both have a say too. Raffles Wonder completes the shortlist.
