Shaped as if still in good form when sixth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6/1) 4 days ago, not seen to best effect after early trouble. Back up in trip but has course-winning form and should remain competitive for excellent yard.

Made steady progress in maiden/novice company, running best race when third of 11 at Yarmouth (80/1) 156 days ago when keeping on well despite looking awkward under pressure. Handicap debut and there could be further improvement.

Course specialist with three wins at this track and distance. Finished third of 13 in handicap at C&D (11/2) 28 days ago, slowly into stride and raced well off the pace, made headway on inner 2f out but effort flattened out. Back down to last winning mark and likely to continue in good heart.

Three-time course and distance winner, successful at Chelmsford (8/1) 78 days ago. Ninth of 13 in handicap here (20/1) 28 days ago when hampered. Better judged on previous form and should be competitive.

Won a 7f novice race at Catterick in May. Form has been patchy since but some promise finishing sixth of 9 in a 7f handicap at Thirsk (25/1) 126 days ago when not knocked about. First-time all-weather runner who looks interesting returning from a break (sole previous win came fresh).

Best effort was third at Doncaster over 10f in the summer. Better than the result on stable debut here but disappointed finishing 10th of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7/1) 62 days ago. May appreciate return to Southwell following a break.

This could be the time to catch FAR AHEAD, whose sole previous win came off an absence and would be very interesting if supported. He's narrowly preferred to King of Ithaca, a course specialist who remains on his last winning mark after a creditable third here recently when disadvantaged by a slow start. Mumayaz showed his wellbeing when scoring at this track 21 days ago and shaped as if still in good form when meeting trouble on Monday.
