Foaled February 10. £40,000 yearling, Starman colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful winner up to 1m Love de Vega and 7f-9f winner Cervetto. Dam twice-raced half-sister to smart winner up to 7f The Right Man. Wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary to play a lead role on debut.

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: William Cox| T: J Channon

7/1

Held back by inexperience when eighth in Windsor maiden (6f) on debut back in May. Absent/gelded subsequently and this promises to reveal more now upped 2f in trip.

28/1

Roserunner¹⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-3| J: Marco Ghiani| T: M Botti

5/1

Roseman colt. Dam placed at 7f (including at 2 yrs) and should have stayed 1m. 16/1, seemed held back by inexperience when fifth of 8 in novice at Kempton (8f, 16/1) on debut 14 days ago, not unduly punished. Should have more to offer.

Form: 5

Forecasts

Free Your Spirit (1/3), Terranoble (3/1), Cranachan (3/1), Roserunner (5/1), Bergamo Gold (5/1), Silver State (7/1), Wind Summer (28/1), Living In Hope (33/1)

Those with experience hardly set an exacting standard so Richard Hughes' newcomer FREE YOUR SPIRIT is offered up before the benefit of market clues. Cranachan seemed in need of the experience on debut at Kempton a couple of weeks ago and promises to do better. Similar comments apply to Roserunner who completes the shortlist.
