Bumper/maiden hurdle winner in early 2024. Failed to complete in 2 chase starts for Chris Grant last spring but market support worth noting back hurdling for a new stable which has enjoyed success with another recruit from the same source this season.
Won a weak maiden hurdle at Naas (19.5f) for Stuart Crawford last December. Better effort in 17f course handicaps for new yard this season when fourth of 8 latterly, making his effort too soon.
Sole hurdle success came in a 2m maiden at Wetherby (heavy) nearly 2 years ago. Unable to make a significant impact in handicaps hurdles/chases for Olly Murphy last season and pulled up in Ayr hurdle on reappearance for new yard. Something to prove at present.
Modest form at best over hurdles for Stuart Coltherd last season but gambled on and shaped a lot better for new yard when second of 14 in 19.5f Ayr handicap on reappearance 32 days ago. Considered.
Fair form when fourth in 17f course novice on hurdle debut last match but failed to match that in 3 subsequent starts last season, including 3m handicap debut in March. Drops back in trip for handicap debut. Check the betting.
Strong in the betting back hurdling on his last 2 outings but he was down the field at Ayr on the first occasion and unseated early over this C&D since. It'll be interesting to see whether his supporters' are prepared to give him another chance.
Improved to land a 20.5f Southwell handicap 12 days ago. Only nudged up 3 lb for that and his low-mileage profile suggests there may be more to come.
Left his 3 qualifying runs behind when making a successful handicap debut over C&D (soft) last month. Runner-up back here since and likely to be in the thick of things again.

Forecasts
Drop Kick (9/4), Shadow Chaser (11/4), Pitwood Road (10/3), Always A Reason (6/1), Half Track (12/1), Lord De Vinci (14/1), Interchangeable (20/1), Sao Carlos (40/1)
ALWAYS A REASON might be able to cope with a 3 lb rise for Southwell. Drop Kick did well in similar events over C&D last month and is second choice ahead of Shadow Chaser. Pitwood Road is one to monitor closely in the betting on first start for Nicky Richards.
