Improved switched to fences last season, jumping well to land handicaps at Doncaster (19.1f) and Musselburgh (20.3f). Made a satisfactory return at Carlisle last month and looks a likely player here.

Won this event in 2023 and plenty of good efforts in defeat last season, including when runner-up (off 7 lb higher) over C&D 12 months ago. Failed to get home over longer trip at Bangor on return last month and must enter calculations.

Useful hurdler who has done his winning on soft/heavy ground. including over 3m at Haydock in January. Fairly handicapped, back over the larger obstacles on his return, but has yet to fully convince in this discipline.

Made positive start for Warren Greatrex last term, winning both his starts at this sort of trip. Improved on that when good second of 9 in handicap chase (9/2) at Bangor (20.3f, heavy) on return 24 days ago and is only 2 lb higher here.

Ayr maiden hurdle winner who responded well to the fitting of cheekpieces when belatedly off the mark in handicap chase at Carlisle (20f) in April. However, no impact on debut for new yard in Grand Sefton here last month and has something to prove now.

Not the most reliable and arrives on back of poor efforts in Ireland in recent months. Likely best watched.

Won 2 of his 7 starts over this sort of trip last term and likely needed the run when last of 7 on his return at Kelso 28 days ago. Not out of things.
