Hurdles winner last term and has taken well to fences, scoring at Hexham and Perth this year before bombing out when going for the hat-trick back at Hexham in October. Quickly put that behind him with a clear-cut success over this C&D and an 8 lb rise should be manageable. Cheekpieces applied.
Notched second win between the flags last month, but this Irish raider hasn't shown much under Rules thus far and is probably best watched following 8 months off.
Failed to build on maiden/novice hurdle promise switched to handicaps last term, but good start in this sphere when finding just one too good on return at Uttoxeter (3m, good to soft) in October. Drop back to 2½m wasn't ideal at the same course next time and likely to go well now upped to 3¼m.
Point winner who left hurdles form behind when making a successful chase debut at Doncaster in February. Failed to fire next 2 starts, but ended last term with a creditable third at Kelso (23.4f, good) and could have a say on debut for new yard if fully tuned-up for this seasonal reappearance.
Dual chase winner in France, but has rarely threatened on these shores and she's passed over on this first run since rejoining former yard, following a couple of no-shows for Debra Hamer.
Successful here in January 2024 and belatedly reproduced form akin to that when scoring on his reappearance at Hexham (24.2f, good to soft) last month. Couldn't be 100% certain that he'll reproduce that form, but will be a danger to all up 6 lb if he is again in the groove.
Now just 1 lb higher than for his latest success over 27f here in February 2024, but it's been downhill pretty much all the way since and others make more appeal.
Unreliable maiden who was beaten over 26 lengths when sixth in the 11-runner Hexham handicap won by Eveque last time. Best to look elsewhere.

Forecasts
Jamesieconn (11/10), Upfordebate (10/3), Cresthill (6/1), Scottish King (8/1), Eveque (16/1), Monaghan Boy (20/1), Iturgeon Du Breuil (22/1), Kate Madrik (28/1)
Stamina is clearly JAMESIECONN's forte judged on his winning chase debut over this trip at Doncaster last winter and, provided he's raring to go following a seven-month break, the 6-y-o could be the answer on debut for the Nicky Richards yard. Upfordebate made it 3-5 over fences when scoring over C&D last time and he is feared most ahead of Scottish King and the veteran Eveque.
