Three-time C&D winner. Good placed efforts here and at Haydock in May but off since never a threat in the Northumberland Plate consolation here at the end of June. Chance he'll need this after 160 days off.
Lightly-raced winner. 7/4, career best when winning 8-runner novice at this C&D 52 days ago, readily. First run for yard after leaving John & Thady Gosden. Makes handicap debut. Open to improvement.
Second in a C&D maiden before striking on 1½m Kempton handicap debut in October. Something possibly amiss when well beaten back at Kempton 19 days later. Could bounce back
Hasn't finished out of the first 3 in his last 8 starts, winning 3 of them, including over C&D in October. Even better form when narrowly denied back here last week. Another bold show likely from the same mark. .
Sole win from 22 Flat starts came over C&D and he ran another sound race over this C&D when second of 11 13 days ago, conceding first run. Thereabouts.

Forecasts
Antrim (7/4), Jez Bomb (4/1), Almekarem (5/1), Sea Legend (13/2), Pride Of Donegal (7/1), Humble Spark (10/1), Jodhpur Blue (20/1), Pleasant Man (25/1)
The way ANTRIM strolled home in a C&D novice in October suggests there could be more to come now handicapping for new trainer Karl Burke and he's narrowly preferred to the thriving Jez Bomb. Last month's C&D runner-up Sea Legend may prove best of the remainder.
