Hawke Barn Wedding & Special Events Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Enhanced his fine strike-rate over fences when taking the Devon National over C&D in February. Likely found trip inadequate on Fontwell return in October and looks a likely player here.

Surprise winner of Grimthorpe Chase at Doncaster in March and first past the post (subsequently disqualified after losing weight cloth) in veterans event at Cartmel in May (29.4f). Run poorly both starts since, however.

Not scored since 2020 and jumped sketchily when last of 4 in handicap chase (11/2) at Sandown (24.2f, good) on return for new yard 26 days ago. Others more appealing.

Got off the mark over fences at this course (24.3f) in October of last year and improved on that when a game winner at Taunton (23f) in February. May have needed reappearance here last month and merits consideration.

Completed a hat-trick at Cartmel in July and left low-key reappearance well behind when readily landing a 3-runner handicap chase at Ffos Las (28f) in October. However, he followed that with a tame display at Fontwell and looks vulnerable off his current mark.

Useful winning chaser in 2022 but following 2 years off the track, ran well below that level in a trio of starts this year, latest on Huntingdon return last month. Bit to prove at present.

Fairly-useful staying hurdler who ran with credit when third over fences at Chepstow in February. Never really a factor on return to action at same course last month but this much stiffer test of stamina will see him in a better light.
