El Gangster

Age: 4| Weight: 11-2| J: Sean Quinlan| T: D W Whillans

33/1

€5,000 3-y-o, El Salvador gelding. Half-brother to bumper winner Robelli. Dam unraced half-sister to fair hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 4m) Torduff Express. The market can prove a good guide.

Form:

Heffalump

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: William Maggs⁽⁵⁾| T: D McCain Jnr

16/1

€5,000 3-y-o, Vadamos gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Kiltealy Briggs and modest chaser Thunder In Milan, stays 3m. One of three for the stable here so the betting can prove an accurate indicator.

Form:

Johnny Moonshine²⁶⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 11-2| J: Theo Gillard| T: D McCain Jnr

17/2

€19,000 3-y-o, £30,000 4-y-o, Mahler gelding. Dam unraced. Runner-up sole start in an Irish point in March so this newcomer needs considering from the yard's trio of runners.

Form: 2-

Kilnesare Flight³⁷¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr

15/8

Malinas gelding. Dam winning pointer. Second in an Irish point last November and partnered by Brian Hughes so rates an interesting debutant.

Form: 2-

Loveable Reprobate

Age: 4| Weight: 11-2| J: G Sheehan| T: Jamie Snowden

5/6

€58,000 3-y-o, Poet's Word gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/chaser Ferdia and fair hurdler Bonarc. Appeals on pedigree so a likely player for his in-form trainer.

Form:

Ratemenow²³

Age: 4| Weight: 11-2| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: S Corbett

14/1

Fourth on his debut in a maiden point in March and showed a bit of promise when third in Hexham bumper 23 days ago. Can take a step forward now.

Form: 4-3

Strathcatcha⁷⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-9| J: Bruce Lynn| T: Gary Rutherford

250/1

Well beaten in a pair of bumpers at Hexham and Kelso this autumn. Significantly more is required.

Form: 77

Forecasts

Loveable Reprobate (5/6), Kilnesare Flight (15/8), Johnny Moonshine (17/2), Ratemenow (14/1), Heffalump (16/1), El Gangster (33/1), Strathcatcha (250/1)

Little form to go on and the market will no doubt reveal plenty but Jamie Snowden continues in fine form and his LOVEABLE REPROBATE, who catches the eye on paper, is taken to make a winning start. Donald McCain saddles three and Kilnesare Flight, the mount of Brian Hughes, could emerge as the main danger ahead of stablemate Johnny Moonshine.
