Point winner. Fair hurdler wore cheekpieces when opening his account in 11-runner maiden hurdle at Sedgefield (19.8f, soft) in February. Wasn't far off the best of his hurdle form when third on chase debut at Bangor last month. Entitled to take a step forward down in grade with headgear back on.
Improved for the switch to fences when runner-up on debut at Exeter prior to going one better at Taunton last year. Shaped best for a long way on return from a significant absence when third over C&D (soft) 27 days ago and would have strong claims if he can back that up.
Would have been placed but for unseating between the last 2 on sole start in an Irish point. Little impact in maiden hurdles but is bred for chasing (yard know this family well) and could prove a different proposition upped in trip on handicap/chase debut, especially if market speaks in his favour.
Well held in novice/maiden hurdles but different model sent chasing with a tongue strap added, following up a Lingfield victory with minimum fuss at Leicester in February. Credible excuses for subsequent below par efforts and he's a player back down in distance on reappearance.
Runner-up sole start in Point. Maiden under rules but showed promise over hurdles and fared much better than on chase debut when runner-up on reappearance at Ffos Las (16f, soft) 18 days ago, no match for subsequent winner. Still low-mileage and would have claims if seeing out the longer trip.
Has fallen below last winning mark and shaped as if back in form with first-time cheekpieces applied (retained) when fourth in an 11-runner chase at Ffos Las (23.8f) in April. Back down in distance and market should guide returning from 7 months off (needed reappearance over C&D last season).

Forecasts
River Run Free (13/8), Merry Monty (3/1), Nedzor (5/1), Ridin Solo (11/2), Girls Best Friend (13/2), Nine Nine Nine (18/1)
MERRY MONTY shaped best for a long way on return from nearly 2 years off when third over C&D last month. He may prove the one to beat if backing up that effort, with River Run Free a likely threat if back to his best on first start of the season. Nedzor is unexposed over fences and would have claims if seeing out the longer trip.
