Promising type. 9/2, third of 12 in novice at Kempton (7f) on debut 35 days ago. Likely to improve and should make his presence felt.

Wusool colt. Dam, 5f/6f winner, half-sister to 6f/6.5f winner Cherokee Jewel. Probably best watched on belated debut.

45,000 gns yearling, Night of Thunder gelding. Half-brother to German 9.4f winner Scrum. Yard seldom strikes with newcomers, so this may not be the day to lend him support.

11/10
Lightly-raced maiden. Very good fifth of 14 in handicap (28/1) at Kempton (7f) 21 days ago, nearest finish. On that evidence (and judged on what he showed at 2 yrs) this colt looks the way to go.

Oasis Dream filly. Dam once-raced half-sister to smart winner up to 7f Shine So Bright out of useful winner up to 1¼m (2-y-o 8.5f winner) Alla Speranza. In good hands and confidence behind her in the betting would look significant.

Forecasts

Echalar (11/10), Fight Your Corner (2/1), Pinatubo's Legacy (5/1), All Moonshine (11/1), Glamorous Angela (12/1), Mali And Me (66/1), Blairtum Night (80/1), Our Charlie (80/1), Carlos Garcia (100/1), Wiseton Prospect (200/1)

Verdict

ECHALAR travelled better than most before eventually coming home in fifth in a competitive Kempton handicap three weeks ago and he has strong claims back in novice company. Fight Your Corner also shaped well at that course last month when third on his belated debut and he is just about feared most ahead of Glamorous Angela and likely-looking debutante All Moonshine. Another newcomer worthy of note is Pinatubo's Legacy.
