Age: 6| Weight: 11-8| J: Jamie Brace⁽⁵⁾| T: Miss R Curtis| OR: 120

9/2

Progressive over hurdles last season, almost landing a hat-trick in a competitive listed novice handicap at Punchestown in April. Looked badly in need of the experience sent chasing at Aintree on return 2 weeks ago, however.

Form: 24112-P

Blenkinsop²⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-8| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: H D Daly| OR: 120| C

7/4

A four-time handicap scorer (around 2m4f) over hurdles in in 2022/23. Restricted to just 3 runs last season (gave his running only once) but made an encouraging start over fences when fifth of 14 at Cheltenham on return, nearest finish. Should improve and longer trip likely to suit.

Form: 18/030-5

Madaket^p²⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: Sean Houlihan| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR: 118

13/2

Fairly useful hurdler at his best and matched that form at the second attempt over fences (reportedly bled on debut) when third at Ffos Las on return. Still has plenty to learn about jumping so can do better again.

Form: 6/3P36-3

Not So Woolly²⁶⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Tizzard| OR: 117

7/4

Failed to win over hurdles but he was consistent and type to make a better chaser. Step up in trip will suit.

Forecasts

Blenkinsop (7/4), Not So Woolly (7/4), Andy Amo (9/2), Madaket (13/2), Histrionic (11/1), Astronomic View (20/1)

BLENKINSOP has had several absences in his career, including one very long one, but he caught the eye starting out over fences at Cheltenham on return and is potentially on a good mark on his hurdles form. Not So Woolly is likely to make a better chaser so is feared most for his in-form yard.
