Quite lightly raced since landing brace of 3m handicaps in 2022/23 campaign but hard to knock his consistency last term, placed on all 4 starts, finding his stamina ebbing away only late on when third in Scottish National (31.8f) in April. Rare jumping lapse over the National fences on reappearance.

Useful hurdler who is a chasing sort on looks and took well to fences with a 3m Exeter handicap success in February. Off 8 months after but continued the good work when second at Fontwell 4 weeks ago and he's in the right hands to go on progressing. Up in trip.

Landed Cheltenham handicap (26f) for the second time in April and ran to similar level in defeat at Uttoxeter twice this summer. Struggled before race took shape last month so bounce back is required.

Won 4 of 12 starts and ran well in first-time cheekpieces when third of 15 in handicap chase at Limerick (3m) 34 days ago, leading in straight before headed. Lot depends on whether he sees out this marked step up in trip.

Useful handicapper who won 2 veteran events last spring. Had excuses final start when fifth in 3m handicap chase here and pleasing return when third to stablemate Gustavian at Wincanton a fortnight ago. Stamina her forte.

Consistent sort who ended last season with a respectable fifth in the Scottish Grand National at Ayr. Had another breathing operation ahead of respectable reappearance at Cheltenham and he's now back on his last winning mark for his red-hot stable.

Three-time winner over fences who shaped as if retaining ability after 6 months off when third at Aintree in 2024. Predicting his good days even when fitness was assured has been a thankless task and he wasn't in quite the same form at Warwick a month ago. Off 12 months and up in trip.

Pretty useful hurdler/chaser who won twice last autumn. Gradually worked his way back to top form this season, responding really well to an attacking ride when landing 7-runner handicap at Fontwell from Largy Poet. Up 4 lb in a better race but he's clearly in good order.

Failed to score last term but some good efforts in defeat and made an eye-catching start to the new season when fourth at Worcester, finished with running left over an inadequate trip. Bit disappointing he hasn't fully built on that since but this sort of test perhaps what he needs now.

Underwent wind surgery prior to notching a fourth success over fences in a 4-runner handicap chase at Haydock and took another step forward in defeat when runner-up to a subsequent winner in April. Had another breathing operation and picked up where he left off when third at Cheltenham.

Made a winning return 2024 but saw his form tailed off, pulled-up in the Welsh and Edinburgh Nationals prior to failing to justify support in a veterans chase at Doncaster on final start of the campaign. Step back in the right direction when seventh in repeat bid at Cheltenham last month.

Very consistent in the 2023/23 campaign, including a win in the valuable Classic Chase at Warwick, but much more miss than hit last season, finishing a remote fourth in the Midlands National on final start. Reappearance behind a couple of these at Fontwell wasn't devoid of promise.

Forecasts

Rock My Way (10/3), Aspurofthemoment (7/2), Regarde (5/1), Our Power (8/1), Snipe (8/1), Largy Poet (9/1), My Silver Lining (11/1), Lord Accord (14/1), The Newest One (22/1), Credo (25/1), Manothepeople (25/1), Rapper (66/1)

Verdict

Having shaped well when fifth in the Scottish National, ROCK MY WAY is expected to step up on last month's reappearance and representing a yard in terrific order, he makes plenty of appeal given he's now on his last winning mark. Our Power can get back on track returned to regulation fences, with Credo perhaps the pick of those at longer odds.
