Improved with blinkers fitted in March, winning over 25f at Wincanton before a solid second at Hexham 7 days later. Well held on return/debut for new yard, but better effort when third of 11 back at Hexham (24.2f, good to soft) recently and, eased 3 lb since, this 6-y-o is not without hope.
Back on track when second in a Wetherby handicap hurdle on penultimate start. Confirmed that promise with a ready success at Newcastle (20.3f, good to soft) last week and while he needs to prove that he can also mix it over fences/this trip, he's effectively 8 lb 'well-in' off the same mark.
Won twice during consistent 2023 hurdles campaign and, having missed the whole of last year, he proved expensive to follow in this sphere/over hurdles during the summer. More like it when second on the back a wind op at Fakenham (24.2f, good to soft) last time, but needs to brush up on his jumping.
Gained breakthrough win over C&D in January and hasn't done a great deal wrong in 4 subsequent starts, pulling clear of the rest when chasing home a progressive, race-fit rival on return at Sedgefield (26.3f, soft) last week. Cheekpieces refitted and he has to enter calculations off the same mark.
Has been operating some way below his best for a while now and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.
Record stands at 0-23 under Rules following a dismal display tried in blinkers at Hexham a fortnight ago. Has hardly set the world alight in 4 previous runs in cheekpieces, so the refitting of that headgear is unlikely to have a dramatic effect.
Has displayed more temperament than ability in recent times and, unless the addition of first-time cheekpieces results in a significant uplift, he looks set for another struggle.

Wasthatok (6/5), Emotional Roller (11/8), Dunworley (5/2), Karavomylos (9/1), I See The Sea (10/1), You Say Its Over (22/1), Sputnik (33/1), Stonegate (66/1)
WASTHATOK was safely held on his sole previous run over fences back in January 2024 and is unproven over this far, but the 7-y-o is worth chancing on both counts following a clear career-best display over hurdles at Newcastle last week. Indeed, he is well treated off the same mark and is taken to get the better of Emotional Roller, who struck over C&D last winter and made a satisfactory return at Sedgefield recently. Dunworley, an emphatic winner on his latest start in March, also has claims.
