Well backed on the back of a 7-month layoff and took advantage of the marked drop in grade when landing 9-runner handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (16.7f) 3 weeks ago. No reason why he won't prove at least effective over fences and he's highly respected.

3-time hurdle winner (including brace of novice events last winter) but he proved too free after 6 months off when fourth of 5 in a beginners' chase at Worcester (20f) 4 weeks ago, no extra when headed run-in. Return to 2m rates a plus now and refitting of a hood can see him settle better.
|
Fairly useful, dual winner over hurdles who made a very bright start in this sphere following 7 months off when easily taking 5-runner handicap chase at Uttoxeter (2m) 33 days ago, drawing clear from 2 out. 5 lb rise looks very fair on that evidence and he's one to keep firmly onside.

Forecasts
Spirits Bay (13/8), Excelero (7/4), Mister Cessna (2/1)
MISTER CESSNA looked one to keep firmly onside when readily opening his chase account at the first attempt at Uttoxeter and a 5 lb rise for that ought not to prevent him making another bold bid with further progress highly likely. Spirits Bay justified good support when scoring on his return over hurdles at Newton Abbot recently and he appeals as the type to prove equally as effective over fences.
