Now 8 lb lower in the weights compared to when opening his account in this sphere at Bangor in February 2024. Best effort since when chasing home a progressive type at Chepstow last winter, but he was well held on return 22 days ago, adding to what has become a patchy profile.
Latest success was gained at Hereford back in January 2024, but has posted more good efforts than bad ones since (including when last seen over this C&D in April) and is currently 3 lb below that winning mark. Big chance if ready to roll (has won on the back of a similar break in the past).
Belatedly took advantage of a much-reduced mark when landing a C&D handicap in February, on what was his final run of last season. Backed that up (despite tending to jump right) when runner-up on return at Newton Abbot and, still on a good mark following a 2 lb nudge, he needs considering.
Hit-and-miss 10-y-o who often let himself down with some rather sketchy jumping during a winless 2024/25 campaign. Cheekpieces refitted (blinkered final 2 runs of last season) and he's slipped to a workable mark, but it's easy to have reservations all the same.
Winning pointer who made it second time lucky over fences for Tim Easterby at Market Rasen on Boxing Day 2023. Best effort since when runner-up at the same course in May the following year, but didn't show much back from 16 months off on debut for new yard at Newton Abbot and now has a bit to prove.
Placed a couple of times over hurdles and has performed well all 4 starts at this course since switched to fences, finding just one too good in a C&D handicap (soft) when last seen in April. Looks nicely treated off the same mark and he will be a threat if raring to go.
Just the one win to his name from 28 starts overall and, though feasibly treated on the pick of his form, he's essentially hard to catch right and was well held at Fontwell when last seen in May.

Forecasts
Try The Money (13/8), Shot Boii (11/4), Stellar Stream (4/1), Bebside Banter (4/1), One Last Glance (11/2), Esperti (6/1), Benny Baloo (12/1), Dysania (22/1), Spotty Dog (33/1)
SHOT BOII was almost six lengths adrift of the runner-up Try The Money when fourth over C&D during the spring, but he's unlikely to face anything like the same level of competition for the lead this time and resumes on a 2 lb lower mark, with Rian Corcoran claiming a further 10 lb. Try The Money should give another good account if tuned-up for this and he is feared most ahead of Esperti.
