Low-key start for this yard over hurdles but really got his act together in the spring, winning handicaps at Sedgefield and Perth (both at around 20f) to end the season. However, finished well held in handicap at Cheltenham (20.2f, good) on chasing debut 22 days ago.

2/1

In first-time blinkers, scooped a good prize at this C&D in March and resumed from 6 months off with another career best when runner-up at Newton Abbot (21f, soft) 18 days ago. Doesn't always find as much as looks likely, but he could be in the mix once more.

2/1

Put his best foot forward when opening his account at this C&D in March, before following up back here (19.5f) 11 days later. Below form both starts since, but he's capable of getting involved if ready to go after 6 months off (has had a wind op).

Form: 3P118-F

Just Over Land^t²⁷⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: Mr Harvey Barfoot-Saunt⁽⁷⁾| T: S Thomas| OR: 110

11/2

Fair winner over hurdles who shaped encouragingly when runner-up at Ffos Las (16f, soft) on chasing debut last season. Didn't kick on subsequently, failing to see things out on heavy ground at Leicester when last seen in February, but he's back down in grade on return.

Forecasts

Diplomatic Ash (2/1), Joe Cotton (2/1), Scorsese (5/2), Hudson (4/1), Ballyfinn (5/1), Just Over Land (11/2)

HUDSON has shown much improved form sent handicapping over hurdles on his last 2 starts, finishing runner-up in a big-field contest at Galway on his latest outing, and he could be ready to get off the mark as he goes back up in trip for stable/chase debut. The 4-y-o is preferred to the class-dropping Just Over Land, with Joe Cotton also considered.
