Ephyra280
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-3| J: Miss Becky Smith| T: A Irvine| OR:  58
Lightly-raced maiden. 11/1, very good second of 8 in handicap at Kempton (16f), no match for winner. Off 9 months ahead of this yard debut and probably worth taking on returned to turf.

6/1, good second of 9 in handicap at Carlisle (17.2f, heavy) when last seen in July, suited by emphasis on stamina. Leading claims if ready to roll following a break with Serena Brotherton again aboard.

Good third of 10 in handicap at Epsom (12f, good to soft, 9/1) 55 days ago, clear of rest. One to consider off the same mark here with the step up to this trip likely to be in her favour.

Forecasts

Johnny Boom (11/4), Different Drum (4/1), Girls Night Out (5/1), Fiddlers Green (11/2), Corsican Caper (8/1), Ephyra (10/1), Burano Murano (12/1), Laplander (16/1), Bloodhound (25/1), Adrian (25/1)

Verdict

Provided he is fully tuned-up following a break, DIFFERENT DRUM could take some stopping. He went close under Serena Brotherton at Carlisle when last seen at the beginning of July and remains feasibly treated up 2 lb. Johnny Boom has to be taken seriously under a penalty following a decisive display at Leicester last week, while Girls Night Out still has low mileage and merits respect with this stiffer test likely to prove right up her street.
