Annexation³¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-6| J: Lily Pinchin| T: A W Carroll| OR: 119| D

12/1

No real impact in a couple of hurdle starts for this yard in May but has landed back-to-back handicaps on Flat recently and may be capable of better over timber.

Form: 25U/4-34

Zhang Fei⁴¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: Fern O'Brien⁽⁵⁾| T: F O'Brien| OR: 105| D

8/1

Dual scorer over timber last year but was beaten when coming down late on at Hereford in April and looks up against it on these terms.

Form: 15231F-

Arc Zoosve⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: J M Quinlan| T: N B King

50/1

Without a win on Flat and finished well held on yard debut at Newbury 9 days ago. Tries hurdling now but is hard to recommend with any confidence.

Form:

Forget The Way^p,t¹⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-10| J: J J Burke| T: James Owen| OR: 113| CD

15/8

Won this contest 12 months ago and back to best when close second of 4 at Southwell (15.8f) last month. Not in same form at Market Rasen since but looks a likely player here.

Form: 21-3626

As Fast As Wind¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-7| J: Robbie David⁽⁷⁾| T: Daisy Hitchins| OR: 101| D

11/8

Opened account on level this summer and posted her best effort in this sphere when taking 9-runner handicap hurdle (3/1) at Kempton (16f, good to firm) 14 days ago, kept up to work. Player.

Form: 9652-31

Forecasts

As Fast As Wind (11/8), Forget The Way (15/8), Mermaids Cave (13/2), Zhang Fei (8/1), Annexation (12/1), Arc Zoosve (50/1)

AS FAST AS WIND produced a personal best when scoring at Kempton a fortnight ago and may be able to follow up here. Last year's winner Forget The Way looks the likeliest danger.
