50/1
Fairly useful winner at 2m over hurdles who unseated in soft fashion on chase debut on sole start for Rebecca Menzies last October. Absent since but has joined another good yard and the market should guide expectations (in first time tongue tie) on handicap hurdle debut.

Fairly useful winner on Flat (stays 1½m) for Joseph O'Brien but did show temperament on final run for the yard. Belied market weakness to open his hurdles account in a Catterick novice (15.7f) on second start for new connections and could take a step forward now handicapping.

Fairly useful bumper winner made a successful hurdle debut/return at Market Rasen last November. Improved when second in listed novice company next time (solid form) but form tailed off towards the end of the season. Definite player if back to her best with sights lowered on reappearance.

Bumper winner makes plenty of appeal on looks/pedigree and has made a positive start over hurdles, building on his Carlisle near miss when running away with a Leicester maiden upped to 20.5f in November last year. Back down in trip for handicap debut but surely more to come this season.

Fairly useful juvenile hurdler winner went as close as he has in handicaps when runner-up at Fakenham (2m) in March, on final outing for Alan King (joined new yard for £14,000). Keen-going sort is on a workable mark if his exuberance doesn't get the better of him on first start of the season.

Irish point winner landed the first leg of a double over C&D in the spring and ran every bit as well in defeat (following 5 months off) when chasing home a thriving, race-fit rival on handicap debut at Hexham last month. No surprise if he makes a bold bid from the front.

Fair maiden hurdler for Joseph O'Brien but reverted to his clumsy ways when well held in a handicap hurdle at Galway (22f) on final start for the yard in July. Tongue strap added to previously worn cheekpieces for stable debut but will need to jump better over this shorter trip.

Doing all her best work late when third (one place behind Admiralty House) over 2m at Fakenham in March but ran below form upped in trip at the same course on final start last season. Back down in distance following wind surgery and this stiffer track may see her to better effect.

Won a weak maiden hurdle at Naas (19.5f) in December but well held in subsequent handicaps for Stuart Crawford. Improvement needed on stable debut.

Fairly useful on Flat for William Haggas and made a good start over hurdles when winning a maiden at Perth (good to soft) in May 2024. Only seen twice since, travelling into his races but unable to sustain the effort. Back on better ground and worth a market check returning from another absence.

Fine record at this track, winning this race in 2023 and finishing runner-up on reappearance at this track last season. Ran poorly on final start for Iain Jardine (headgear now removed) but tends to go well fresh and looks interesting on first start for new yard.

Modest handicap hurdler in Ireland who has pulled up on previous three starts for Richard James Daniels. 2 lb out of the handicap on stable debut and needs a resurgence.

Forecasts

Woodland Park (11/8), Dunnet Head (16/5), Double Digits (5/1), Aire Spray (11/2), Oh Janey (8/1), Rula Bula (10/1), Ip Up (18/1), Admiralty House (18/1), Medieval Gold (25/1), Hidalgo De L'isle (25/1), Joshua Des Flos (50/1), Nitty Gritty (50/1), How About No (66/1), Getaway Master (80/1), Interchangeable (100/1)

Verdict

DUNNET HEAD is 2 lb lower than when winning this race in 2023 and given his record when fresh, he's taken to make a winning start for his new stable. Rula Bula mixed it in better company as a novice and looks worth another chance, while Woodland Park remains open to improvement on only his fifth career start. Of the rest, Double Digits could go well from the front, while Medieval Gold is another to note returning to better ground with Brian Hughes aboard for the first time.
