Ocovango gelding who was absent for 2 years before a patiently-ridden eighth of 14 in novice at Chepstow (16f, good to firm) on his hurdles bow 16 days ago. Can do better in due course.

Fairly useful on Flat/over hurdles for Denis Hogan in Ireland and returns to this sphere for his new yard after a brief stint chasing this autumn. The clear form pick if at his best for his new handler.

Picked up for £30,000 after winning his sole start between the flags during the spring and he shaped encouragingly on his yard/hurdling debut when fifth of 6 in novice at Ffos Las (15.8f, good, 8/1) 10 days ago, not knocked about. Can take a step forward here.

Fair form when placed in bumpers at Ascot and Wetherby last term. Given a considerate introduction to hurdling thus far, tenth in 2m novice at Chepstow 16 days ago. Likely to improve, especially if the market speaks in his favour.

€21,000 3-y-o, £40,000 5-y-o, Workforce gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Knockanore and fair hurdler Calicojack, stayed 2½m. Dam unraced. Wears hood. Runner-up sole outing in Irish points in February so needs considering now starting out in this sphere.

Lightly-raced sort who has been off the track for 18 months since a good third of 13 in 19f novice here. Has his fitness to prove on his comeback run.

Well held in varied events on Flat, including sole outing for Mark Gillard 13 months ago. Has plenty to prove on his return from a long absence.

Little impact in a couple of bumpers earlier this year and he unseated his rider at the first on his hurdling bow at Newton Abbot (2m, good to soft, 125/1) 8 days ago.

Beaumec de Houelle gelding who shaped well when second of 13 in bumper at Kempton 7 months ago, conceding first run to the winner. That form has been franked so he's an interesting prospect now going over hurdles.

Forecasts

Leaumec De Mee (5/6), Bright Legend (5/2), Little Ledgend (5/1), One For Rian (15/2), Snapdance (11/1), Betgoodwin (25/1), Known Warrior (50/1), Albie Littlewood (66/1), Fight My Fire (100/1), Elusive Knight (125/1), Capital Love (300/1)

Verdict

Dan Skelton's LEAUMEC DE MEE made a promising start when runner-up in a Kempton bumper (form worked out well) in the spring and can make a winning start in this sphere for his in-form top stable. Fellow hurdling debutant One For Rian, runner-up in an Irish point, could emerge as the main danger on his first run for Neil Mulholland, although Faye Bramley's ex-Irish recruit Bright Legend has the form to play a major part if at his best after a stint chasing.
