15/2
Bumper winner who landed a maiden/novice over hurdles (at up to 20.5f) before running a screamer on first crack at 3m+ when third in the Grade 1 Sefton in April (tongue tie fitted). Step back in trip not sure to suit for chasing debut but he's got the frame for the larger obstacles.

Made great strides over hurdles last term, winning first 4 starts of that campaign prior to a series of fine efforts in defeat, culminating in a third-placed finish in a valuable Aintree handicap (24.7f, good). Won't need to improve much for the switch to fences in order to play a big part here.

Much improved with a visor added and returned to positive tactics when a dominant winner of a Perth handicap in April on only his second outing over fences. Jumped superbly on that occasion and revised mark looks very fair returning with his stable in form.

Looked promising in spring 2023 for Thomas Mullins and all the fitter for return to action when landing a few bets at Doncaster in November. Back to that form on the back of a breathing operation when third at Cheltenham in April and he could easily improve for the larger obstacles.

Former John McConnell inmate who shaped well when fourth of 9 on chase debut at Kilbeggan in June. Fell heavily 4 out when leading under a change of tactics in maiden chase at Wexford before a runner-up effort at that venue. This British mark isn't a gift, however.

66/1
6-y-o mare who showed fairly useful form when second of 11 in listed handicap chase at Fairyhouse (21f) in April. Excuses when mid-field in Pat Taaffe handicap chase a month later and she probably needed the run back in distance starting out for new yard 3 weeks ago. Tongue tie goes on.

Hurdles winner in France who was awarded the race after he was carried right close home in 17f handicap chase at Killarney 3 weeks ago. Step back up in trip in his favour but this is a deeper race.

16/5
Point winner who made a successful start under Rules when rallying to lead again close home in bumper at Ascot and barely came off the bridle as he also made a successful debut over hurdles at Catterick (19.3f). Similar form when second at Chepstow in April and now makes handicap/chase debut.

Winning stable debut over 2m in March and progressive form since, shaping promisingly on chase debut when second of 6 at Killarney 3 weeks ago (23.5f). Drop back in trip no inconvenience and he's in expert hands.

£85,000 buy after winning an Irish point and following a quartet of runner-up efforts, he landed the odds at Ffos Las in April. Successful sole outing in Irish points, which offers hope ahead of this chase now.

Big improver stepped up to 2½m+, winning 5 on the spin and adding to his tally at Newton Abbot (16.8f) in October 2024. Form of late has a patchier look, but he stuck to it pretty well when third of 6 upped to 25.7f in April. Off 6 months but that no concern given yard he represents.

Progressive over hurdles in 2024 and bright start after 8 months off when second of 4 on handicap chase debut at Worcester (16.5f) 40 days ago, keeping on well run-in. Return to this longer trip could see her do better still but this is a deeper race. Hood off.

Low-key start for this yard but really got his act together in the spring, winning brace of handicap hurdles. Cheekpieces replace blinkers back from 6 months off switched to fences.

Forecasts

Kdeux Saint Fray (16/5), Newton Tornado (4/1), Crest Of Fortune (15/2), Springs A Girl (15/2), Darcy's Friend (9/1), Zurich (10/1), Double Powerful (14/1), Blenkinsop (14/1), Inox Allen (14/1), Rightsotom (16/1), Major Fortune (25/1), West Away (25/1), Scorsese (33/1), True Testimony (66/1)

Verdict

This should turn out to be strong handicap form but such was the impression INOX ALLEN created on second chase start in the spring, he's hard to get away from on this return to action. Darcy's Friend is just the type his excellent yard will get even more out of so he's a huge threat, while Double Powerful and Crest of Fortune are just a couple of interesting chase debutants.
