Green and well held in 2 outings over 7f last month. Cheekpieces need to spark major improvement.

Foaled April 14. Aclaim filly. Dam, maiden (stayed 8.5f), half-sister to very smart 1¼m/10.3f winner Stotsfold. Makes her debut in a warm-looking race and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Forecasts

Ottoman Empress (5/6), Fractional (9/4), Darkwing (11/2), Ladykirk (11/1), Music Academy (16/1), Society Girl (33/1), Hot Silk (50/1), Hurricane Ann (100/1), Capricorn Belle (250/1), Dream Of Ithaca (300/1)

Verdict

This has the look of a good maiden. OTTOMAN EMPRESS gets the vote on the back of her promising 7f debut but Fractional also shaped very well at the first time of asking and has the potential to be a big threat. The fact Darkwing went off at 6/5 for her Newbury debut suggests her leading stable thinks she's capable of a fair bit better than she showed that day. Music Academy and Ladykirk are newcomers who make plenty of paper appeal.
