Thrice-raced winner. 5½ lengths last of 4 to Benvenuto Cellini in Champions Juvenile Stakes at this course (8f, good, 17/2) 35 days ago. Yard also represented by South Island.
Thrice-raced winner. 6/4, won 9-runner maiden at Gowran (8f, soft) 28 days ago. Piazza San Marco is presumably the stable No 1, but this colt is open to improvement and needs considering all the same.
Thrice-raced maiden. Fifth of 11 in minor event (13/2) at Naas (7f, good to soft) 6 days ago. Up in trip and looks up against at this level. Yard fields a stronger candidate Nil Bua Gan Dua.
Twice-raced maiden. 5½ lengths third of 4 to Benvenuto Cellini in Champions Juvenile Stakes (40/1) at this course (8f, good) 35 days ago, running on late. Looks competitive on form.
Twice-raced winner. Won 8-runner maiden at Galway (8.4f, good to soft, 6/5) 39 days ago. Highly likely that this well-bred colt has more to offer.
Lightly-raced winner. 6¼ lengths last of 5 to Hawk Mountain in Beresford Stakes at the Curragh (8f, soft, 12/1) 21 days ago, not clear run. Interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting, particularly in relation to stablemates Christmas Day and Piazza San Marco.
Lightly-raced winner. Career best when winning 8-runner maiden (7/2) at the Curragh (9f, soft) 20 days ago, kept up to work. Yard in good form and he shouldn't be too far away.
Promising type. Won 14-runner maiden at the Curragh (7f, good, 11/1) on debut 56 days ago, readily. This stiffer test promises to suit and he's a very interesting candidate.

Forecasts
Piazza San Marco (11/10), Thread Of Gold (9/2), Christmas Day (13/2), South Island (7/1), A Boy Named Susie (12/1), Port Of Spain (12/1), Nil Bua Gan Dua (20/1), Listentodwindblow (40/1)
THREAD OF GOLD became the first Willie Mullins-trained 2-y-o debut winner since 2012 when readily accounting for his 13 rivals at the Curragh. He should have more to offer and can take this step up in class in his stride. Piazza San Marco appears to be the pick of the Ballydoyle trio ahead of Christmas Day and he is a much-respected main danger. Nil Bua Gan Dua and South Island should both have parts to play, too.
- Piazza San Marco11/10
- Christmas Day13/2
